DirectX level

The newest is 10, but some people are running on 9.

I would guess most people have dx9 card. Also, you have to be running Vista for dx10.

I have DirectX 10, but I lowered it to 8 for TF2 to fix the crashing. That's what the command blown posted does.

I changed to dxlevel 81 and havnt crashed since. I hope they fix this, its playable, but not pretty.

Im using 8800 series drivers from march and I'm not crashing at all.

I dont even think source will run in DX10...

I will try LATER tonight and see if the crashing persists after the update. If anyone else is having similar problems and they're fixed by the update, let me know :wink:

TF2 is using a modified Source (I think it's been referred to as Source2 by some people). It has DX10 support.

Evidently, it fixed JCOM's issues. He was having a terrible time with it.
