TV6: Quickplay might be more effective with default spawns?

So when we first brought Quickplay back to TheVille, I had been thinking that our fast respawns on TV6 would help Quickplay to work better, since none of the Valve servers have fast respawns.

But a few days ago (Tuesday?), when TV7 filled itself, I noticed that TV6 kept itself full all evening, even though a few maps that would typically result in a very large player turnover. TV6, on the other hand, while I do think that it's clear that Quickplay is helping, is still needing a significant amount of babysitting to keep it from dying.

So I'm thinking that, even with Valve servers running on fully vanilla settings, maybe it might still be easiest to keep a server full on fully vanilla settings.

BTW, I happen to prefer the respawn settings that we currently use on TV6 more than default settings, but that's not the point I'm trying to make. The point I'm trying to make is about keeping the server full.

Maybe try it for a week or so and see whether it makes a difference?

Unfortunately, reserved slots aren't the only thing keeping the major servers off of quickplay. TV6, TV7 and I think TV8 all have class limits in place which is not allowed on quickplay servers. It's probably possible to set up TV3 to work, but that server simply doesn't see enough regular traffic as it is (even when it was 24/7 payload). It would take a lot of dedicated seeding over a long period of time to build up the population of the server to have regular busy times like the other servers. At this point in TF2's life, I think that would take a lot of advertising or constant seeding to keep traffic steady.

It would be nice to get back on quickplay though. TV7 just isn't as busy as it once was

Personally, I think it would just invite more bans, if they weren't aplenty enough.

Class limits were removed once the quick play was enabled. Tv8 is a custom map so it isn't qp eligible anyways.
