I feel like I do this all the time, and admittedly, in my 5 years of playing TF2, have spent less than an hour playing medic. However, often I find myself in a situation where there is an excess of a certain class or class type, but no medic. In these situations I am often the sole heavy and feel it would be worse for the team having me as a medic and no heavy than if I stayed heavy, whereas if one of the more populated classes switched, I feel it would be less of a sacrifice for the same reward. In these situations I often prompt someone to medic, but I try to not sound as if complaining e.g. "We could use a medic". I know asking for a medic without ever switching can be really annoying but the above is my justification for it often.trilobite wrote:Some players complain that their team has no medic. The complaint often is repeated. But these players will not switch to medic, ever.
