They're replacement models/skins.

They won't work on Ville servers because of the sv_pure settings, but I thought I'd share the link any way.

IT... BEGINS...
Updates to Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:
Source Engine Changes (TF2, DoD:S, HL2:DM)

Added mat_viewportupscale and mat_viewportscale to enable rendering the world at a reduced resolution. ("mat_viewportupscale 1" and "mat_viewportscale 0.5" will downscale world rendering by 50%.)
Added a new convar mp_mapcycle_empty_timeout_seconds to trigger a changelevel when the server is empty
Added positional audio support for Mumble clients
Fixed a bug that prevented consecutive clicks on scrollbar buttons
Performance and stability improvements

Team Fortress 2

Scream Fortress Event 2012
Fixed a bug where buildings would be invisible during their setup time
Mann vs. Machine
Added the map Mvm_coaltown_event with a special Halloween mission
Fixed a bug where players money would not be set properly when restoring a checkpoint
Fixed server crash on vote to restart mission
"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"

"Tf2 is unavailable at this time." Wait you mean the generic crashes and lack of item servers? Sweet prime time updates, we love you Valve.

Did a run through of Lakeside Event.

Unlike all the other KOTH maps, this one requires teams to hold the point for 7 minutes instead of 3 (presumably to allow the Wheel of Fate to happen more often)

The Wheel of Fate itself pops up at the point in front of the big ammo crate. It cycles through the cards like a roulette. When it stops, Merasmus casts the spell on the card (speaking of which, Merasmus has voice lines for this).

Some of the effects I've seen are:
- Super Speed (as shown on the update page, boosts all players' speeds)
- Small Head (also on the update page, gives all players smaller heads and high-pitched voices)
- Big Head (opposite of small head, gives deeper voices)
- Super Jump (jumping height is greatly increased and you take no fall damage)
- Low Gravity (self explanatory)
- "Bar-Bar-Bar" (Merasmus appears and all affected players are teleported to the point and do the Thriller taunt with him)
- Kritzkreig (All players receive a Critboost)

There's more, but I didn't look more into them. Also, each effect only lasts about 20 seconds (except the "Bar" effect) or so and is indicated on the HUD as an icon next to your health.

In addition, the usual Pumpkin Bombs are littered around. However, major change to the map: The indoor area with the big health kit now has a death pit instead of a water pit. When you fall in, your character screams as they fall for about 5 seconds into a demonic fanged maw and are then teleported to the point, dead.
