Re: Your favorite TF2 Memory In the ville
Not too long ago (whenever replays were still on TV8) we played a melee-only match and ended up with 100% Demoknights by the end. That was some insanity right there. Someone on the other team was royally owning everyone, then I got a lucky hit with the Headtaker and ended up gaining his 34 accumulated heads...
The server cleared pretty quickly shortly thereafter, but it was fun while it lasted. Those melee-only times are great. So many shenanigans.

Definitely some of the few times that I am a mummy and I beat Maj.GHOB and Toby out on TV6. A domination like that feels so very good

We had a pretty amazing game a week or so ago, was an incredibly long and fun game on TV8. I don't remember how long it was, but I do know I had in the neighborhood of 270 points and I wasn't even there for the start of the round. It was so back and forth the whole time it was extremely enjoyable.MateoTheBold! wrote:My favorite TF2 memory probably isn't a specific one but more of a generalized feeling of satisfaction after a well balanced push and pull between well balanced teams on warpath.

"Crusty Juggler is dominating Maj. GHOB" Ah, such a sweet experience.
Also, that one time Hefe killed me and did not taunt. Very memorable indeed.

It got co-opted and corrupted by a bunch of loony server hosts out there, who ruined it and made it look bad in the public eye. This is why Dog will never release the code for Left4DoD - too many idiots waiting to mess up everything people like him work hard on.Bakuryu wrote:Cube soccer...any game was awesome. A major pity, because that was indeed awesome. I love me some Cube Soccer.

Re: Your favorite TF2 Memory In the ville
Three weeks into TF2, I got into a server somewhere, playing Dustbowl. On RED, we've been pushed back to 3-2 with north of 25 minutes left to hold. I was playing Medic, and BLU had advanced to the last turn, but no further. I end up basically stuck in the corridor/stair on RED's right just across the bridge. 20 minutes of life, 8 übers, 1 kill, 18 assists, and 26 points later, we held 3-2 for all 25+ minutes, winning the map. It was epic, and I was hooked on Medic.

Back when I first started playing TF2 it was on release day on Xbox LIve. The patches were slow and many glitches lasted a long time. I loved sniping people through gates and placing teles where your team would be trapped. Once on dustbowl part 2 I had 3 headshots and 4 kills before the round even started I was crying.
Re: Your favorite TF2 Memory In the ville
The moments that have given me the biggest laughs are the whacky cat-and-mouse chases behind the lines in our team's back country. Usually me chasing Alcapoon-the-scout around or devising some countermeasure trap to kill the pest. The final outcome doesn't matter because the action is hilarious.

Re: Your favorite TF2 Memory In the ville
My first night on Casbah and the re-naming of Masakari as "Cashbox" as a result of the insane impromptu karaoke night that I unknowingly prompted. (In other words, I couldn't remember the words to the song when it came on and made up some. Then we laughed so hard that we couldn't stand it and somehow, we re-named Masa.)
