There is always respect here. The ocho almost turns you into a complete respectful player because all the regulars set a pretty decent standard of civility even while killing one another.

I am 100% in support of this notion.

The entire reason I joined the Ville in the first place was because of the mutual respect between the players. Nobody dedicated their play time to whining about game updates. Nobody whined about or taunted people based on differing skill levels. It requires a lot of effort from everyone in a community to reach that stage, and even more to maintain it. It might be tougher for some people than for others, but let's all push as hard as we can to maintain that universally friendly attitude no matter what! It's what sets The Ville above almost every other gaming community in existence. :)

Absolutely plan to be helpful and respectful to new players. I complained previously that the game being free would make it difficult to police those that insist on hacking/griefing/etc..., but let's not forget that new players really can breathe new life into the game.

I'd seen the servers very much in decline over recent years (it's generally been impossible to have players on both TV1 and TV2 at the game time), but looking at the servers now it looks like both are nearly full.

Looking forward to it.

Anyone who wants to use this as an opportunity to play classes that aren't their best, this is a good chance with all the easy targets.
Also if you do so, might help the new guys learn more than beating in their faces with sniping, heavy/medic teams and soldier/demo spam. (that and convince them to stick around longer and become regulars)

I remember when I started driving for the first time.
Man, I was doing donuts, burn-outs, and backflips left and right.

You could only do single backflips? Scrub.

I would think that most people who want the game by now would have bought it for the cheap $5 price it was being offered at for so long. But, I do think there will be a small wave of new players.
You would be surprised. There are ton of newbies on the servers right now.
Maybe I haven't been playing enough yet to notice. In all fairness, there always seems to be new people on servers I play on. I don't mind as long as they don't go Medic. haha =P j/k

It depends, most of the time im nice to them. BUT if they are the people that think they are so cool and better then everyone else, like the call of duty kids theses days, well that's when I start killing whatever class they are playing (a lot of the time they are snipers, some are ok at it).

Yeah, I've seen a few snipers recently, great aim, but no reactions. I've come up sideways and pulped so many of them without them even noticing.
