TV8 server config gripes
Here are some minor gripes about TV8 (the ocho)--though I guess TV TF2 servers in general--config:
- You lose a point for being hit by pee. Why not lose a point every time you're hit with a bleed effect, get set on fire, or get hit with a round from the minigun?
- Alltalk goes off at 8 and stats start with 6 people; why not have stats start at 8 (or better, both at 10)? A real game on warpath cannot be had with 3-aside, 4, ehh, 5 possible.

Re: TV8 server config gripes
Is 1 point really that big of a deal?
As for the other issues, those are the same on all servers, The playability of the server should have nothing to do with stats turning on or alltalk being shut off in my mind.
Stats are just cool to see how you are doing, I really don't think they should be used as the only reason you play if that is really what you are looking for.

Getting pee all over you is humiliating, and you deserve to lose a point for that.

How embarrassing...
Re: TV8 server config gripes
One thing I hate is losing points for manually destroying buildings, and this was around before the engy update where you could move your stuff.

That's because people used to sit in spawn and constantly build and destroy things to pad their stats instead of helping the team.dammets89 wrote:One thing I hate is losing points for manually destroying buildings, and this was around before the engy update where you could move your stuff.

As Carpe said, it's to prevent farming.
You gain points when you build something, and lose those points when you manually destroy it. If it's killed in combat, you don't lose points however, so it's a net-win situation for engies that are at the front helping their team.
