They actually made it weaker. It now only does half the damage of the normal Kukri and the bleeding effect doesn't last as long.--HaDeS-- wrote:Thanks for posting that Steveio. Good to see they also made the Shiv a little more powerful.

"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

We know what it looks like though and who made it. That's something. =PFlobee wrote:"Added The Southern Hospitality"
I guess that's the mysterious community made, spiky looking wrench we still know nothing about!

The way I read it, it's *less* powerful. Bleed out now only lasts 6 seconds instead of 8 and does 50% less damage of the Kukri instead of 35%.--HaDeS-- wrote:Thanks for posting that Steveio. Good to see they also made the Shiv a little more powerful.

Re: The Engineer Update
Sorry, I misread that bullet i guess. I always thought the actual weapon was a little weak but the bleed out time was too long. Good to see that they lowered the bleed out time, but I can't say I'm happy to see they made it even weaker.Super Steveio wrote: They actually made it weaker. Also, I wonder if the Engineer will have 4 Achievement milestones, get two items for one milestone, or if the Southern Hospitality will be another case of the Gunboats, and we have to wait for the drop system to randomly give it to us?

Re: The Engineer Update
Heavies have a cone of fire which gets less and less effective the further you are from your enemy. Sentries have precision aiming but, up till now, it's been at limited range and automated. Assumedly, the wrangled Sentry is as accurate and powerful as a normal sentry would be, but it now relies on you to aim it. Moving targets and being careful not to die yourself could make it quite a challenge.Cpt. Winky wrote:So this may already have been addressed, but if you wrangle a sentry....does it still have a maximum firing distance or is it like sasha/natasha and is just nearly useless at long ranges?
And the reason they made the Shiv less powerful is because nobody who had the Shiv uses the Kukri. It was an upgrade, not a sidegrade.

my question is on warpath, can a wrangled sentry fire from one ridge to the other, or is it limited like the automated one?TheCarpe wrote:Heavies have a cone of fire which gets less and less effective the further you are from your enemy. Probably yes, but you need to aim it there.Cpt. Winky wrote:my question is on warpath, can a wrangled sentry fire from one ridge to the other, or is it limited like the automated one?

Re: The Engineer Update
Thanks for clearing me up on the Shiv.
I just checked my Steam account and it just added extra achievements to TF2. Hopefully that means the update will come soon. Anybodies start downloading yet?

Hint. Change your download region to Ukraine if you can't get a spot or to somewhere there are not many people.
