Here's a link to the alleged "first custom map for TF2". Looks pretty good to me, but you should read the haters in the thread. Give the guy a break already.

..And all my world geometery has ported over too!
Now all I gotta do is retexture everything. But that'll be easy compared to getting the scoring/spawning right. There's no tutorials on how to get manipulate the scoring system. I know enough to figure it out, just gonna take a while. One good thing tho, they gave us a real easy way to advance spawns. You guys might not see me online for a little while

we should load this guys map sometime and give it a run! i've play tested it on a pretty small server, and it actually plays pretty good considering how fast he got it made....visually its not the most stunning piece of work, but if the action is heavy who cares what the background and "extras" look like right?
oh yeah and i fully support Beeron not playing on the servers if it means getting cp_avanti completed!! i started on avantiville and it'd be awesome to come full circle 5+ years later! (ah, the memories of waiting in line to get on avanti night after night )

Im working on the church/4th cp. I had something totally different layed out for the DoDS version.
I got all the scoring and spawns worked out. (So nice to not have to fake the advancing spawns like I had in the dod version) They made it so you can plant spawns all over the map, only they can be activated/deactivated by whether or not you own certain CPs... very nice touch.
Im working out some nasty issues with the textures. Seems the TF2 textures are applied in a different scale (by default), making things look very odd. I could pheasably have an ulgy, but working version out tonight!

If you get it going, we could lock TV5 and play test it there. Since the other three are the popular servers and all.
