To be exact... its called reverse sequential capture the flag :D

I might even name it

sctf_avantiville

Its been suggested by other mappers to do so, because essentially, it is a whole different game mode than regular ctf.

Depending on how today goes, I might have a new version out tonight with some more fine tunings to the layout. #1 problem on the map right now is getting blue to and past cp3. Im going to rearrange some corners to block a few snipers. Im also going to kick the fog back up just a hair. Im also going to shorten the respawn wave for blu by a second or two.


then I'll need more play testing from you guys! :lol:

Yes, the latest release is on TV2's rotation (I think it's in the normal rotation) I know its avail for vote on TV4 and TV2....

lol I was on it last night and everyone grumbled and voted the map off! cuz its too hard to get past that choke point between cp 2 and 3.

No, it was because we had just played it and for some reason the map reloaded instead of changing. They were fine for the whole round before that. :)

making the cp2 to cp3 choke point narrower isnt going to make offense easier. In tfc we often had to conc the flag from 2 to 3 because it was so easy to spam the narrow corridors and doorways. Concs arent available anymore...

I was the one who rotated it. We had just done two whole defense/offense rounds, and a map vote had come up near the end of us on defense the second time and convoy won (i think - I think that was the next map...I played a lot last night and can't remember) What was weird was the map restarted instead of going for what won the vote.

So, I put the winning map out to a vote so it would rotate.

Nothing against the map - we just had played it for at least 45 minutes at that point and were ready to try another one.

Was just playing on the Custom map server. Seems engies have found a new place to place buildings. From the fence blocking off access to the area, it seems like they aren't meant to be there. I could be wrong, but since it's a map in progress I thought I'd point it out. They're just jumping around the fence.

Building there has been allowed in all of the builds of the map so far. I think the fence is there to prevent SGs from firing on people as the come to the top of the stairs, but I am not sure.
