A couple of guys felt it was necessary to add "skill" to TF2, and by skill, I mean holding down the spacebar (seriously, look at the bunnyhopping section). It also appears that they made the Engineer, Spy, and Sniper absolutely pointless, killing the class balance that made the game so great. Looking at the video, it would appear that the pyro can fly, the soldier can rocket jump across stage 3 of Dustbowl in about 5 seconds, and the heavy can hop on top of the shipping containers at the center of Granary. Fun.

Re: TF2Turbo
Well, the scout SHOULD be able to do these things with ease. The mark of a great scout is excellent jumping skills and the ability to reach nearly every spot on the map very quickly. The scout eluding the sentry gun is just luck. If even ONE obstacle is in the way, the scout dies, immediately.
The demoman jumps are easy. I have seen it on warpath where a demoman will EASILY beat every single class to the middle point. It is nothing new.
The pyro jumping though is ridiculous. Same with the heavy being able to jump like that. Maybe it is time Valve introduced a way to put a small pause between jumps except for the scout. Also, the flamethrower should not be pushing you up. Only the air blast should be able to, and it should only be once.

Looks funny for like a fun night or something... but really, it's just TF2 with flying..
Was all this possible in the original TF? Cause I've played it a little and don't remember pulling off these kinds of moves, or seeing anyone else do it...
I do know some sections of the maps backwards, because that's sometimes the easiest way to get spies
Also, as a clumsy demoman, take my word for it. Some maps have ridiculously low skyboxes. That would make this not so fun.

None of that was possible in the original TF. You could bunnyhop it in TFC to a degree, but the rest of that crap is new. Originally the only engine limitation you could take advantage of for movement speed was vector addition (strafe-running).
edit: Yahoo, did you miss the scene where the scout used bunny hopping to jump into the intel room of Turbine, grab the intel and jump back out before the level 3 sentry could fire a shot?
