lol I am all too familiar with this topic. I love it when NO ONE will go medic, because they are having too much fun playing pass the grenades back and forth in the middle of the map.
I go medic.
I heal all these people, and they NEVER move up, I have uber charge, still they spam grenades and rockets. no amount of voice communication works, and they will only advance after you have popped the uber on them, which by the time they actually get anywhere worthwhile, the uber would have popped, and they are retreated, while I kill 2 people with freaking siringe gun and uber saw.... YES I LOVE IT!!!

I have discovered the joy of playing medic.
I only sometimes announce an uber before I pop it, and I make some mistakes, but overall, I am feeling like I am having a big impact on the back and forth of the team, especially in my self imposed dust bowl exile. The high scores aren't hurting either; I can consistently score higher as medic than any other class!

It's always fun to play medic on defensive dustbowl. Half the team's running around in the red while rockets and grenades are flying every which way around you. The problem starts when you play on a map where you are alone with one or two players most of the time. Then you start to realize how horrific most players are at even acknowledging a threat to their medic. It becomes quite frustrating to heal people unless they are aware of their surroundings and have some capacity to kill things before they kill the doctor. But that's a different story.
A nifty tip: if the combat classes are in the heat of combat, on the front lines dying left and right, a number of interesting things happen. The friendly medic will charge his uber faster due to all the incoming damage. An offensive uber will be more effective since it is closer to the point of action. The defense will be weaker since it's being put under a constant pressure.
You're also more likely to survive if you stand inside of Warpath's tunnels than if you sit at the mouth. Demospam will bounce itself through the tunnel without affecting anyone inside of it, while it waits eagerly to explode on those who dare to retreat or sit at the back.

This topic is why I made spy my primary class when the game first came out. No one was really a team player so I went off in my own little world. However, nowadays I get so lonely and depressed in regards to how broken the spy class is currently that I have been playing a lot of medic......... mmmmm....... ubersaw kills..... mmmm
