New Unreal Tournament

New Unreal Tournament game in development by Epic. Planned free release.

I know some of us played a bit of UT back in the day. I probably had over 5,000+ hours invested in UT2K4, mostly assault and some TAM towards the end.

Though, at this point I'm not sure if I have it in me for a game with so much jumping tied into the movement.

The only game in the series I got into was Unreal Tournament 3, and even then, I was just merely dabbling in it since I only played single-player. Also, I think I got into it late, possibly a year or so after release. This begs the question: What're your opinions on UT3? I hear a lot of praise for 2004, but I don't hear a lot of stuff about 3.

I played a little bit of 3, it was eh. Played a fair bit of 2004 and though that was pretty good. UT 99 is the best one though, I still play it now from time to time.

2k3 and 2k4 were my favorite by far.
3 seemed like not enough of a step forward and I couldn't get into it. Hoping the new one rekindles my interest.

I never got into unreal games, I always played quake. Just this last year I went to a lan party where we played ut99, and it was awesome, but I totally sucked.
I don't think any game can top quake live for pure deathmatch though, well, maybe warsow...

Same here Cat, never played any unreal tournament games, but I've played Quake and I got a lot of fun from it. Maybe I can get into this.

yeah they aren't installed right now but I've been a fan.
