Re: Super Smash Bros.: Wii U / 3DS
Three new tidbits:
- Mii Fighters' selection of headgear includes Meta Knight's mask and Samus's helmet.
- The 3DS version has a stage based on the original Game Boy.
- The Special Flag's use: If you can manage to hold the item aloft for a period of time, it will add a point to your KO score (in a Time Match) or give you an extra stock (in a Stock Match).

"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

About time, was afraid the top-tier fighter was going to be left behind.
This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Re: Super Smash Bros.: Wii U / 3DS
Some of Mega Man's custom specials have been revealed.
I'm gonna guess Plant Barrier replaces Leaf Shield and Beat Call replaces Rush Coil.
EDIT: The site was also updated with the 3DS's Solo game modes: http://www.smashbros.com/us/3ds/gamemode/entry3.html
In Classic Mode, the player can now select the theme of the next stage (the screenshot shows a choice between Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and F-Zero themes). Beating stages nets you Trophies, Custom Parts, and Dosh. Additionally, it seems the Difficulty modes have been removed in favor of a Kid Icarus Uprising-style scale, where dumping money into it makes everything harder, but grants more and better rewards.
The Multi-Man Mode is against teams of Mii Fighters, who are this version's equivalent of the Polygons, Wireframes and Alloys.
Target Smash is replaced with Target Blast, which is pretty much the Home Run Contest mixed with Angry Birds. You beat up a bomb to send it flying into a flimsy block building filled with targets.

Samus's weird, revealing shorts outfit you get to see when you speedrun Zero Mission is an alt costume for Zero Suit Samus.
Also Melee's Brinstar returns (again) in the 3DS version.

Music Page, with three of the tracks to be featured in the game: Multi-Man Smash, Trainer Battle from Pokémon X and Y, and Full Steam Ahead from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
The page also lists the composers for the game, and other games they've worked on.
The Picture of the Day also features the music menu of the 3DS version. When selecting a remixed piece, the word "Remix" will either be pink or white. Pink means it was remixed specifically for Smash Bros. 4; white means it comes from an earlier Smash Bros. game.
The Sound Test also allows you to listen to the music when your 3DS is in sleep mode, and you can skip to the previous or next song with the shoulder buttons. You can put songs on a "favorites" playlist, and you can set the player to loop and/or shuffle. And in Smash Run, you can customize what music plays in each area.

Take that with a grain of salt; that looks incredibly faked.belak wrote:Massive leak with a possible full character line up: http://www.idigitaltimes.com/articles/2 ... r-wiki.htm

Yeah, there are a few places stating that the leak is fake... since ESRB doesn't really play games, as stated in their own faq and on the back of the japanese cover doesn't have copywrites listed for the companies that own all characters in the leak.

Re: Super Smash Bros.: Wii U / 3DS
Continuing on from the money = difficulty thing, the money sink this time is called the Fiend's Scale (as compared to the Fiend's Cauldron in Kid Icarus). According to Sakurai, the fastest way to make money is to do Classic Mode on higher intensities/difficulties. As noted earlier, you can choose your path to the end from a selection of three "themes" every stage.
The screenshot this time shows a choice between Pac-Man (green, with a couple of coins), Super Mario (red, with more coins), or Mega Man (blue, with a trophy and some coins). The player (Kirby) has already defeated three prior stages: Donkey Kong (green check mark), Pikmin (blue check mark), and Sonic (green check mark)
Master Hand is the final boss of Classic Mode, as usual. However, the description text implies something might change on higher intensities (probably adding Crazy Hand to the finale)

Some more leak/rumor stuff. Some or all of it may or may not be true. But it makes for interesting discussion stuff:
17 days until the Japanese release of the 3DS version and we can figure this all out for realsies.

Challenges are back. Same as in Brawl, you complete one and the two adjacent to it have their requirements revealed.
Also four new music pieces:
Kirby's Dreamland - Green Greens V2
Mario & Luigi: Dream Team - Try, Try Again
Mega Man 2 Medley
Nintendogs - Bath Time Theme (Vocal Mix)
And then here's the ones from earlier:
Multi-Man Smash
Pokémon X & Y - Trainer Battle
The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks - Full Speed Ahead

I'm going to be honest: I didn't realize Xenoblade Chronicles was first-party Nintendo. Something was making me think it was Square-Enix or something.

The item page clarifies a question I was asking during the E3 tourney: Why wasn't the Fairy Bottle doing anything when people picked it up?
Turns out you need to have a three-digit damage percentage for it to work.
