I still dont understand why Streaks dont hit a random location on every volley (except for the head in very rare circumstances)

Why do they only hit the torso sections?

The spread is still fairly tight.

I wonder if the game engine could just assign random hit locations on firing and have the missiles make their way there on their own, like hitscan... but not.

Though that would lead to the cruise missile effect that appeared in previous games, as they lag-compensated themselves into fast targets.

It looks as though they are making the new player experience, shorter, if not better. More c-bills per match for the first 25 matches. And if you've already completed 25+ matches? You get a one time bonus of 7.9 million c-bills.

PPCs are very nice now. The velocity boost plus the high fire rate means you can really lay into people. I now have a cataphract with 2 ppcs and a lb10x and a stalker with 2 ppcs and 5 streaks.

I did like (ER)PPCs before, though it was impossible to get good use of of them with the small-caliber mobs running around. Might try them again then.

I'm running 2 PPC mechs now.
Cataphract with an ER on the arm, and a standard PPC in each shoulder.
Stalker with 2 PPC in one arm and 2 ERPPC in the other.

Sure, I overheat occasionally, but damn do things explode.

Now that I have a comp that can handle games again I've picked this up. Its been a while since anyone said something here though... people still play right?

Me and medic still do. There is a lot of snipeing going on as of last weeks patch and we are kind of waiting it out. If you need any help getting started i can hook you up but you may not want to roll with us until you get used to the game, since ELO matchmaking means you would face some stiff opposition. Hit m up on steam.

brawling is dead. Either pop tart or just sit out and wait for the next patch where brawling will hopefully be brought back to life.
