"LFG" is, of course, "Looking for Group."

Holy moly, someone other than FCW posted. At least you didn't fill the shoutbox with your incoherent robot jargon like he does.

Soon I will be keen to your jargon.
If you need help learning CJ hit me up on stem and I can show you the ropes or just play some matches.

CJ, you're just playing free only right now? We have some good loadouts for you.

The new female computer voice is... very quiet.

Also, in case you missed it: The Activate Premium button now functions.

Betty crackles a lot for me, and she's super quiet, even when turned all the way up, and the other volumes on medium. I do like the paint schemes, even though they are a bit limited.

I'd try a triple AC/10 loadout on the new hero mech.
Dual Gauss dmg, but with a much faster firing rate and lower range.
Or perhaps double UAC/5 and an AC/20?

The problem I always have with mechs that use lots of ballistic slots is the ballistics themselves are just so heavy, and much less effective vs fast mechs than lasers or missiles.

Reverted the Cataphract-3D to 2x LL, 2x ML, AMS, 285 standard engine, and plenty of DHS. Runs a lot cheaper.

So me and a friend of mine are going to start doing MWO commentaries first starting out on various mech builds and loadouts.

I need some good people to drop with so I can actually afford to buy the mechs and supplies in game to talk about them.

Also, can yall give me a good list of particularly common builds? Streak Cats and Gauss Cats for sure, but what else is there that is very common?

There's a few standard builds for the various hunchbacks and Jenners.
I've seen several common variants of atlas and cataphract as well.

I can drop with you, but I'm out of town at the moment, and may remain so for another week.

Just started playing tonight with a work buddy. Overall I enjoy the game. Still not sure what I like, but I did manage to get my first kills tonight. Last one standing and I won the match with the final 3 kills. Not sure how I did it, but I did. Lol.

Nice going, matches like that are what it's all about.
What mech were you in?

The Trial Awesome.

Honestly, I don't really remember the first kill. I think we were assaulting their base and I took out a Catapult that was hiding behind a building using LRMs.

The last 2 kills I do remember though. A Jenner equipped with a PPC, probably an ER PPC judging by where he was firing from, had been hiding behind a rock all game sniping people. I managed to sneak up behind him. Being new though, I was just excited and started firing instead of, you know, linking my 3 ER PPCs and blowing his legs clean off. We fought for a bit but he ran when he got down to about ~40%.

He made a beeline for his base, I didn't give chase because...obvious reasons. I was pretty hurt at this point and was going to head back towards base. I saw a guy in a fight with an Atlas so I started pelting him with PPC shots. I took out the last of the Atlas' short/medium range weaponry leaving him with just LRMs. I couldn't kill him though before he took out my last teammate. The Jenner had come to help at this point.

After that the Jenner and Atlas ran to our base to capture it. By that point the Jenner was at around ~27% so I liked 2 of my PPCs, rolled up onto our cap, and blew him up. Then the Atlas was fodder as all he had was LRMs so I just walked up to him and point blanked him with energy weapons until he died.

Was amazingly fun. :)
