Best Free Chess Program to Play with Friends?

Post by MateoTheBold! » Sun Jun 05, 2011 8:15 pm

Anyone able to recommended any chess programs that let you pick your opponent (eg a specific friend)? Anyone here play?

Edit:

Found one.

I finally found a great way to play:

http://en.lichess.org/

The chess program is:
-entirely web based
-no registration required
-in game chat
-nice looking
-capable of inviting a specific person by creating a private game and sending them the link.
-open source
-licensed under creative commons
-ad free

Bronze and I played a game. Sadly he whipped me up. If anyone ever wants a game, send me an invite!

Me and a friend wanted to play a few games pretty recently, we ended up using Yahoo games.
TVC'10: Badass Bunch
Warpath Cup'11: Hades Babies, Villympics'11: Bold and the Beautiful, TVC'11: Conballers
Warpath Cup'12: FAIL Villympics`12: ACME

I haven't played internet chess in some time, I remember Yahoo's version being a good way to play it.

I haven't played since high school, but I was a big board game player in high school. If you find something, hit me up. I'm always up for a game of Chess or Scrabble, but most anything board game wise sits well with me. (Smallworld, Axis and Allies, etc)

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

I don't know if I would call it whipped... It was a pretty sad chess match honestly.
