So, there is a small group of us already who are playing it/have played it since before the TF2 thing (Myself, gator, Carpe, and Buzzy), and we semi-decided to play the game on a certain night. Which night? Mondays, of course! So, if there's anyone else who wants to give it a shot and play with some villians, you're all fully welcome to Monday Night Monday Night Combat Combat Night!

It'll start probably around 9-10CST somewhere. Just pester one of the people listed above and see if we're playing yet. I recommend pestering Carpe.

Actually the third usage of Night is unnecessary. I shall now be a killjoy and break it down.

"Monday Night Monday Night Combat Combat Night!"

The day of the week and the time. Monday night is when you will be playing the game. Makes sense so far.
The name of the game. While apt, Monday Night Combat is what the game is called. A game "Monday Night Combat" is played on Monday nights. Still making sense.
Activity taking place within the game A word that works in this situation, you could replace it with the word "Battle" and it would work. It's strange and it was definitely chosen to confuse, but it works.

That just leaves Night. It has already been established that the game will be played Monday Night. Even if it is "Combat Night", the time has already been stated by Night and the word is now redundant and pointless.

Of course, even after this I doubt you'll stop calling it that. =P

That said, it's something that can be done and will take some getting used to. Been playing TF2 for too long that I've forgotten I'm absolutely horrible at real FPS games (see: shoot head, not feet). Will take some getting used to. Stupid cheap assassins... I could definitely give it a few more tries.

This game looks fun, I'll look into picking it up tonight, tho I've never been a huge fan of "over the shoulder shooters".

We got a pretty good following of people in the game, Meta, I'd encourage you to pick it up. It's really got a fair amount of polish for a game so cheap, and the writing is fantastic. It tears whole chapters out of TF2's book in many ways, but it definitely has it's own flavor.

Only thing I'll caution is that the difficulty curve is rather steep, so new players usually get stomped. As you learn the flow of the game and get a feel for the classes and what they can do, you will enjoy it more.
