Cat girl + "Mild Suggestive Themes" = I'm totally buying this
Looks like a decent game, too.

You should also buy Recettear.

Also, Blade Kitten looks kind of fun...almost like Prince of Persia. Hopefully they'll have a demo or something.

So far it seems like a good game. It's a standard platformer with less penalties. There's regenerating health ala Halo and numerous respawn points. As far as I can see, there's no penalty for dying beyond going back to the last checkpoint. It also makes me feel smart for finding hidden things, although I realize I've missed most of the fish in the first level. The story is silly and there's a semi unique game mechanic in the blade.
I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys platformers but kinda sucks at them. Definitely not for the megaman crowd.

How big are the levels? Are they fairly straightforward are are there a bunch of branching paths?

The levels are fairly linear with lots of little hidden paths to the collectables, then you backtrack to the main path.

It's a platform game so I'm going to say neither.
