Just wondering who plays this.

With the next expansion pack, Seige of Mirkwood, LotR:O is going free2play. And currently SoM is in closed beta and I just got in. Wondering if anyone else plays or plans to play LotR:O or is in beta.

Played it last year in the spring with some people I worked with at the time. It was fun, but didn't get into it much since they all stopped playing. I thought they already switched over to the Free version... I'd hop back on, but I have been enjoying WoW and SC2.

So what they're testing is the Free client, not SoM

Then it looks like the beta client is just testing the free2play version coming out soon. I signed up for beta months ago. I've never played LotR:O but a loved the books and movies. Also some of their movie based games were good too.

Never tried it and don't have the time to put into any kind of MMO anymore.
I wish I could because apparently a friend of mine from high school did some of the voice acting.

its a different game... if u havent tryed it.. lol... its like a pve game.. mostly questin and doing dungeons.. they just came out wit some of the pvp... but it dosent meet wow or warhammer online....

BTW warhammer online is coming out 2... its gonna be free also... if u like pvping... thats ur game lol

I think Machinegunkelly is somewhat misinformed. LOTR:O is going free to play.

click on Already a subscriber to see what's what. It most definitely IS the same game, but they are making changes to it.
