I don't think I've ever been this excited because of a 65 second clip before. Please please please tell me that TheVille will pick up NS2? The most fun I've ever had playing a game was way back in the early 2000's playing with the competitive group here. If F7 doesn't pick this up then I might just have to migrate over here.

i am confused about what the gameplay would be like.... is NS2 gameplay like any current fps?

im not sure about 2 but in ns...yes and no
its marines vs aliens and the aliens have a hive (goal is to get 3 and beat the marines...more hives more abilities) and the marines have a command chair...the commander gives squads orders and he as a big overview map of where the marines are...also can drop health and ammo to them. he can also drop equipment (turrets..respawn points...resource nodes etc) for fortify or make a seige base with...
the aliens have a builder alien who builds their bases...but they dont have an overall commander and the aliens all can evolve to other types of aliens up to and including the giant onos in the vid...they have a skulk...the basic small alien...able to wall walk and leap far but pretty weak...a lerk who is a hit and run flying alien...fade who is a very powerful melee alien and can also hit and run, gorge who builds the base...and onos...who is...big
the marines can have jetpacks or power armor and also have shotguns rifles heavy machineguns and grenade launchers see below...and yes...the aliens are that fast... its a true test of aim and reaction

the command vid has a wierd graphics glitch going on in the rcording so i appologize for that
and if you watch marine gameplay vid 2 at about min 4:25 or so the alarm you hear is the marine commanders panic button...the base is under attack and instanly teleports all the marines to the base to fight the (in this case) 2 onos that attacked
