I'm not really a fan of the new map. The Heaven/Hell areas are way too open with tons of ceiling spawners.
The seizure hallway has a hidden ceiling spawn and the room after that is pitch black for me.

This pretty much only leaves all the crowded hallways that get boring to play in fast.

Oh well, I already got the Normal and Hard achievement so I don't have to play it anymore.

A friend of mine bought me this game a few months ago, and I've been really into it recently. Game's a lot of fun.
"So what have you been up to, man? Haven't seen you in so long!"
"Ah, you know how it is. Doin' a lot of side projects, some consulting, maybe a little freelance... Those are words that people say when they haven't actually been doing anything, right?"

Who likes hillbillies and Halloween and gun DLC?

'Cause that happened today.

If only I could play the game. I keep getting that stupid launch error and steam keeps crashing.

I'm not sure if it's because I got the KF Bundle or if they're giving them out but I got two guest passes for anyone interested.

Hit me on Steam or post here if you want one.

The annual Christmas event is upon us.
Twisted Christmas Event
The Killing Floor Christmas event is back for a limited time with an all new low gravity map!

Event Details
  • Free for everyone that owns Killing Floor - auto downloaded through Steam.
  • All new level, Moonbase, Horzine's Evil Santa has gone all the way to the moon, taking his little friends with him.
  • Replaces all specimens with Christmas themed monsters
  • 3 All New Weapons:
    -Schneidzekk Medic Gun,
-Zed Eradication Device - Find all pieces during the event to unlock,
-Dwarfish Axe - Earn enough gold in Dwarfs!? Free-2-Play, or buy the full game
  • Cosmetic Weapon Pack DLC: gold-plated AK, Combat Shotgun, Katana, and M79
  • 9 all new achievements. Four of which are only available during the event
  • Return of the Baddest Santa playable character unlock
  • “D.A.R” purchasable playable character DLC
Other Changes
  • The 'Informative Scoreboard' mutator by FluX has been integrated in the game
  • The 'Specimen Kill Messages' mutator by Marco has also been added
  • Berserker weapon balance changes
  • Added a stop refresh button to the server browser while a refresh is active.
I've already played the new map, Moonbase, and it's pretty horrible. The low gravity is annoying and the map is really small. The 16 Gun Part collection is really fun however, and the gun itself is tons of fun to mess around with on lower difficulties. I'm interested to see if they add a 7th perk in the future or continue adding maps with special guns.
Oh, and Zerker got is really different now. I can't tell if he got super nerfed or super buffed.

Moonbase isn't that bad, its just really easy to get cornered in if you aren't in the top center area. The low-grav is what kills it for me.

New medic gun is wonderful, fastest dart reload with high short range dps.
I don't like the Z.E.D. too much, but that radar it comes with... Oh, and once you get its achievement you unlock it on all maps.
The Dwarfs!? axe is a Claymore with knockback on its regular hit, as well as causing anything you kill with its heavy swing to explode in blood. I think its the best melee weapon that exists now.

The Berserker rebalance has made it so I can't play it anymore. They at least doubled all prices. I have to wait till wave 5 to get anything bigger than a Machete? My Medic has better damage output. And it has no damage buffs.

They doubled all the prices to compensate for the fact that all melee weapons can hit multiple enemies per hit.
They added it to the Scythe and Claymore only during the Hillbilly Event but now it works on every melee weapon.

And if you have any level 5's or 6's you could start Wave 1 as them, sell your weapon, and then switch to Zerker.

The M99 AMR's ammo is extremely expensive now. $250 a bullet. $6250 for a full refill.

That change was quite a way back actually. It's a more team oriented weapon
as your teammates now have to pool their money to the SS if they want him to have the M99. Personally I prefer the Xbow.

XBow is a usually a better choice in most cases over the M99. The M99 is fun, but the reload speed and cost kind of turn me off of it.

Christmas event ended today, and the Z.E.D. is still around. At least I don't think its overpowered anymore.
Also, what difficulty does everyone play on now? Bronze and I are going to be on suicidal.

Edit: I'm just gonna leave this here.

I feel bad for you guys playing on Suicidal. Because from my experience, 90% of the players in the game are incompetent.

My friends and I are currently playing on Hard and we keep losing because of randoms coming in and ruining everything.

I find that as you go up in difficulty more and more people are competent. I attribute that to the challenge, so less bad players are on higher difficulties. The problem with Suicidal is that there seems to be a lot less players, so its hard to even find a pub.
