I didn't buy it, the crashes really turned me off. It will be on sale again though, maybe I'll pick up during the christmas sale. Just another thing to add to my horribly long list.Bronze Fox wrote:Did you buy the game? We can play together sometime if you want. Could be some of the map files or textures were corrupt and a redownload would have fixed it.

I just got this when it was on sale, and haven't actually played it yet. Anyone up for teaching a nub how to play? If I keep playing TF2 I think I''ll have an aneurysm.

Re: Killing Floor
Here's the video for the event. Be warned, it contains mature content. The Killing Floor Summer Sideshow event is back for a limited time and starts right now!! Knowing just how much fun everyone has had with Killing Floor special events, we could hardly let the Summer pass without celebrating it in true Killing Floor style. So all your favorite Summer Sideshow freaks are back, with the addition of a new map, new achievements, new weapons all for free to anyone that owns the game. We've also cooked up new playable DLC characters for you an created our craziest trailer to date - think Killing Floor monster truck rally commercial style!
The new free content starts with the map Hellride - a cute little carnival ride through Heaven and Hell only the monsters on this ride are real. The event also brings 5 new weapons for you, also free. For all those of you who like to collect the playable characters, Steampunk Mr Foster can now be unlocked again, but only for the duration of the event. Also included is a brand new DLC pack of 4 playable characters - the Urban Nightmare crew.
On top of that, we're introducing Harold Lott, a tribute to the whole Loadsamoney generation and bastion of 1980s taste. Not only can you all run around shouting "Money, money, money" in-game - with Harold's special particle effect, you will be able to leave your own trail of dosh all over the place!
The event runs from 5th July through 23rd July, so make the most of it!
Summer Sideshow Event Details:
- Free for everyone that owns Killing Floor – auto downloaded through Steam
- All new level – Hellride - experience heaven and hell as you follow the course of this doomed carnival ride
- All creatures in game replaced with freak-shows themed monsters including Pukey the Clown and his side-kick, the Fleshclown

Re: Killing Floor
Hot damn, more guns, I love finding new ways to obliterate zombies.
It's impressive that they're still supporting this game in my opinion, I would've figured that this game would've been sort of a fad that would die out in a short time.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.

It seems like they are weapons someone else, or a group, made.Zork Nemesis wrote:It's impressive that they're still supporting this game in my opinion, I would've figured that this game would've been sort of a fad that would die out in a short time.
"5 new official weapons - the IJC community weapon pack has been polished up and made an official part of the game"
People on the KF forums are having mixed reactions. It seems the pack got whitelisted.(You could use the weapons in-game and still level your perks)
And the general consensus is they are OP. Obviously it sounds like Tripwire has made tweaks to the weapons and I'm sure everything is fine.

Re: Killing Floor
Seems like the new SS weapons "broke" HoE difficulty, oh, and the buff to the Xbow probably didn't help either.
It's interesting because the last weapon update brought sidegrades. They weren't bad at all, but they also weren't good?
It's hard to explain but they handled it pretty well. This time it seems like all these weapons are pretty much better than
the previous weapons in all ways possible.

Re: Killing Floor
They changed the file system with the last update?
I gave the new map a test run, it's a bit of an eyesore with all the flashing lights. The new shotgun is also ridiculous, sure, slow firing and sluggish reload, but a 12-shell magazine and the ability to adjust spread? For $750?

Those two things don't apply to a level 6 Support. It's also 373 pounds at level 6 too.Zork Nemesis wrote:I gave the new map a test run, it's a bit of an eyesore with all the flashing lights. Re: Killing Floor
I joined a server right before the patriarch round, so i had no money to buy anything. I ended up being the last guy alive for the final boss, picked up a fallen M99 and headshot the patriarch for the win.
