Halloween Event is live. It features one new map, and a mod created by two people at Tripwire that turns all the ZEDs into dolls. I don't fully understand how it works currently. They also made bundles for the plain characters, the premium characters, the weapons, and the weapon reskins. Game is also on sale for $5. There's no changelog which makes me depressed. Maybe they reduced the HC's weight to zero.

Xmas event is now live. As expected since the End of the Line update these events are pretty small now. I'm actually surprised they even added a map. The biggest part of the event is the fact that event achievements are always on now, and any event ZED can be set by the server now. I view this as Tripwire benching Killing Floor 1 and continuing to work on Killing Floor 2 at this point. This game has had an amazing run and I've greatly enjoyed the 500+ hours I've spent on it. I shall patiently wait for KF2 now after getting all achievements... again...


New Map
  • Thrills and Chills Amusement Park (KF-ThrillChill)

All Holiday Event Zeds Can Be Turned On
  • Servers (and clients acting as servers) can change a line in their KillingFloor.ini file to change what special event zeds will be in their game.
  • In the Killingfloor.ini, section [KFmod.KFGameType] find the line (or if it is missing admins can add it): SpecialEventType=
Valid inputs for this field are:
  • ET_None - Standard Specimens
  • ET_SummerSideshow - Summer Specimens
  • ET_HillbillyHorror - Halloween Specimens
  • ET_TwistedChristmas - Christmas Specimens
General
  • All event achievements have been turned on permanently
Bugs
  • Fixed a case of logspam that would degrade performance
