I love Auramancer.
It's really good in 2v2 because even if you have a crappy hand you can at least buff your teammate.

The new black deck is pretty amusing in Archenemy play, as the archenemy of course. Watching everyone's life whittle away while you do nothing is pretty nifty.

Hey all.
While on this subject (The MTG Group), don't know if any of ya have seen Magic Workstation, but you can play online with any card in the game (I prefer Standard myself), and its got a pretty basic interface that allows for all mechanics to work. A ventrillo or skype connection helps clear up what your doing on ur turn. Its just like playin on a table vs a friend somewhere. I am at work currently, but when I get home, if anyone is interested, I can post the link to all the stuff needed to play it online. Bout all I've got for ya lol Later.

The lack of creatures in that deck frustrate me to no end.frostdillicus wrote:The new black deck is pretty amusing in Archenemy play, as the archenemy of course. Watching everyone's life whittle away while you do nothing is pretty nifty.

Doing the final boss in the original arch-enemy campaign when the computer tried playing this doozy. Thankfully Bronze's brother had a counter for it:

Re: Magic The Gathering Expansion Details
I really need to paint a picture for this amazing comeback by me and Mateo.
Mateo got out his Kor Spiritdancer early in the duel and put Canopy Cover on it the next turn.
However the enemy had two Lifelink monsters which we couldn't block, and a few other un-noteworthy monsters out.
I got two Cumberstones out, but we were still down to 13 health while they were up 46.
After Totem Armor was put on the Spiritdancer, I played Damnation. It was an experiment and it worked. The Spiritdancer lived.
Mateo slowly built up his forces while I slowly gained land. They're now down to 24 health.
The enemy built up their flying forces which was our main weakness at this point.
Luckily I had Dispense Justice handy and also happened to have three Artifacts out so its Metalcraft ability was active.
I cleared out the enemy's air forces with my cunning and superior wits.
One more land for the Sphinx... AH!! Terramorphic Expanse! Our victory was pushed back another turn...
Giving the enemy time another turn was a very suspenseful situation but we couldn't do anything.
The enemy only had 2 cards in their hands combined so nothing big was played that turn.
Our turn!! Sphinx!!
Mateo used his second Gigantiform on his other token and after a grueling battle we won!!
"Lands ravaged, cites in ruin, so many lives sacrificed, and yet there was no other word for it but victory."
And that my friends, is why I'm called the Hero of Oxid Ridge.

I think Bronze Fox and I can officially be called nerds after this night. Keep in mind he notes nothing of the masterful force I built up on the left, pressuring our enemies and saving our bacon.Bronze Fox wrote:I really need to paint a picture for this amazing comeback by me and Mateo.

Re: Magic The Gathering Expansion Details
Bump
Take note of the name, "Magic 2012 Deck Pack 1"
I kind of want it because I love Red decks and White is up there too.
Edit: Ah, if you want more details/list of the cards, here you go.
And it's confirmed by the article: "Then there's another pair of decklists on December 14, and one on January 11."
As one of the most powerful beings in the Multiverse, you’re always seeking new magic to expand your mastery and defeat your foes. This Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 deck pack includes two brand-new decks for Campaign and Multiplayer play. “March to War” is an aggressive red and white deck featuring an army of brutally efficient Soldiers, with enough removal spells to keep the pressure on. “Ghoulkeeper” is a vile black deck featuring an unrelenting Zombie legion. Unleash wave after wave of undead terror until your opponent is overwhelmed by your might.

Re: Magic The Gathering Expansion Details
So, I was a little skeptical about the new black deck. I wasnt sure how I felt about it. Then this happened:

However, I beat the game so badly that it decided to just say 'screw you'.
