Re: Back 4 Blood
I am sure I will be buying it even though I am generally allergic to paying $60 for a game.

Yeah. I have not paid full price for a game since Borderlands 3. I had the money this month and I figured this would be the game to buy this year. Lets hope I chose the right game!

80 bucks up here!
It looks cool but I worry that my days of playing online MP games are kinda in the review mirror. It's hard to find the time to sit down and commit with so many other competing priorities. BUT, I did love L4D2 and this looks like the closest thing to that, so, maybe?

Re: Back 4 Blood
I wasn't familiar with this title until you mentioned it here - thank you for that.
Just did some reading and video watching, and I'm certainly interested in a potential successor to Left4Dead, by the same folks. I'm not sure I like the cards an skins aspect, which seems forced and prone to future MTX exploitation, but it could also be an interesting way to customize loadouts and randomize an options/settings menu, so I'll try not to judge it yet. The gameplay videos and loadout options remind me of Killing Floor, which we did also have some fun with. The fact that it sounds like there's a no cards/classic mode is good.
I don't really want to drop $60 on something like this yet, certainly not as a pre-order, but I would be open to it if things shake out. It would be super fun to get some old Villun vs action going again!

The “VS” mode is not really like L4D2. It is called scavenge. You basically survive in a small map where the area slowly gets smaller. It reminds me of all these battle royal games. The infected take some time getting used to as well but there are more options and you can choose your infected characters rather than it be random. So far, the game is mediocre from what I've played.

Its shiny and has lots of guns.... I guess that's what is most important. Jokes aside, I do like the more variety of guns, secondary weapons, and throwable items. It steps the gameplay up for different strategies. The game will be dull if they don't have enough maps though.

Me, Frost, and Medic are trying out the beta. I like the variety definitely. Haven't gotten to play enough to really judge the overall game though.

Is anyone still playing this game? I've heard good things and it being on gamepass makes it more accessible to play. I wouldn't mind starting my gamepass subscription again if others are playing.

Re: Back 4 Blood
I am playing it. I have finished all campaigns. I can say the campaigns are fun but the finale is kind of dumb. Silly big boss battle. I am not a big fan of the "VS/Survival" multiplayer mode. But, the game looks nice and I like the gun selection and accessories. The card system takes some time to get used to but once you find the right cards you like, you're alright.

I own it but my PC can't really run it. Hoping to get a new one soon and then can try it out. . .
