Resource Management

Fellow Survivors,

I've been spending a lot of time on the ARK lately. Here are some random thoughts I'm having:

1. I'm guessing we don't have an incubator in use anywhere? I was curious to see some little critters hatched and running around the site. Maybe later.

2. I've used a few of the tribes resources recently to fashion a couple of saddles. I'm looking to replace them with something of similar value. I've got a few of the exotics taken from the various drops from the sky that I doubt I cold use by myself. Let me know what I can do to replenish the cabinets.

3. With regards to resources, I am harvesting a lot of the basic stuff around the south end of the island, around the corner from the Ville Mansion. Is someone in the tribe doing that regularly? I can assist if needed.

4. I'm am planning on another venture into the Lower South Cave to explore it deeper than my previous, sometimes unsuccessful trips. Armed with some animals and weapons, I'm hoping for better results.

Still harvesting poop on a regular basis. I've now got a bronto doing a great job keeping my compost bins filled!

Stay safe...............

I've not achieved a high enough level to craft an incubator.
I make trips to the mansion to restock the food bin for the animals.
I am also setting up a home north of the mansion close to the other mine. Plan on starrting exploring it soon.

Looks like its a refrigerator to do the job. Which takes electricity and a whole lot of resources.
Maybe we can cross paths and do a deep dive on that cave. I've only gone down a little, one or two crystal mounds. I know there is a lot of other stuff further down the path. Lots of things that bite too.

I've been to the Lake in there. And it was fairly safe.

Air Conditioner is needed for hatching animals. Multiple depending on the animal, some need more regulated temperatures than others. Also be aware that there is a lot that goes into hatching, you have to hand feed, sometimes for hours and hours or the baby will starve.

If we get a power generator going (and can keep it supplied with gasoline) we could also get a Cryofridge built and then store all the shared animals in Crypods, then they won't need to be fed. A refrigerator also makes perishables last longer than a preserving bin.

As far as resources, take what you need from the base, give back what you can when you can. (Leave the blueprints though please.) Everything deposited in the common storage area is there to be used and if we all randomly restock when we have excess that is good enough.

Feel free to take Justin the Sabertooth down into the lower south cave. You should be able to solo the cave on him. I've done it twice on a Baryonyx and there only two concerns.
1. The centipedes will break your armor instantly if they hit you with their spit.
2. The lakes are infested with Sarcos and Piranhas.
Otherwise all the land based bugs are pretty easy to handle.

Good to know info, thanks Flash. I did not realize how far down the cave went. Only went to the 2nd group of crystals in the past.

FYI - I've got a decent sized berry farm that I'm using to feed my critters on the South Beach Ranch. Feel free to take what is needed from the feeders.
I've also got a Level 64 Saddled Bronto if anyone needs a sky high ride, or to give a tail swipe to some offending attacker.

I may need to borrow the bronto to move some of my inventory. If that's ok with you of course Verman

Cool, I'll swing by and take a look this morning. Lost an otter to some freaking trodons so we're on a hunt to find another.

If nobody is living at the tribe base maybe we should consider relocating the animals to make it easier to keep them fed.

Imake a trip to the base at least 3 times a week to ensure they are feed.
