So how does the chat system work in Ark? I'm pretty sure I've seen M Lite on twice, but in the chat it only shows that I'm talking to "Human." Do we need to be in a tribe together to see names or something?

i'M human. I messed up and forgot to set my name. on a respawn.
Plus I left you a raft by your garden.

There is an option to show the Steam name of players in chat.

Ah ha! I was thinking it was you, thanks M! We still have another 3 in-game hours to go before we can claim it though. My kids are super excited to use it when it becomes available.

I hope y'all can put it to good use. As for the chat. I'm still trying to figure it out.

Looks like "Enter" is the default button to open Global chat.
