A persuasive argument can be made that the people you talked to are "special." Both the e6600 and q6600 overclock like a charm. But if you want to throw your money away, flash your bios and buy a penryn quad core. He can't do that, Nvidia and Intel were (still are) in a huge fight over so...

I'd say I told you so but I'm the #1 promoter of high levels of overclocking so I won't because you broke it doing something I highly support. Normally I'd say get a heatsink but I'm very upset Blah. This here Denver weather caused my Corsair HX1000W PSU to blow today (luckily EVGA makes excellent motherboards and gpu's and none of them went with it, not to mention Corsair PSU's are excellent as well). Best Option: Hope your 8800GTX dies if you have Lifetime Warranty from EVGA, they don't send out replacement 8800GTXs anymore since they don't make them, they send you at least a GTX 2x0 (They sent me a 280 but I know a few people who have gotten 260s).
