New computer, happy times.

My crappy old laptop with a 256mb video card in it crapped out on me during my last hitch at work. Luckily its tax time and that gave me a good excuse to spend some of my tax return on a new laptop! You guys should start seeing me around a bit more often as this new laptop can handle the bigger maps...

Re: TV7 Refresh Take Two

The switch looks reasonable to me. One suggestion on Turbine is to check on the version. The latest one I've seen has added flanking routes that make the central room more dynamic and forward Engie bases worse. That is a custom modified version. TV7 only runs stock maps, so the stock one is the onl...

Re: TF2 Ville videos

No I run TF2 and watch the demo with fraps recording in the background. Fraps produces the file that I can edit in other programs. You could playback a demo in TF2 and run a Twitch stream to record as well I think but I haven't played around with streaming. And the downside of using demo files is yo...

Re: TF2 Ville videos

I found P-Rec was the easiest way for me to record with my crappy old computer. P-rec just records a TF2 demo for you when a server enables tournament mode, such as in The Ville Cup. You can manually start and stop your own demo recordings though. I just watched the demo later with fraps running and...

Re: TV7 Refresh

The last time we were able to vote on the map list ctf_well ended up on there for 2 or 3 months and people were ready to remove dustbowl. I would second (or third) ctf_doublecross as the best option. It was popular on TV7 for a long time and was the only ctf map for ages after turbine was re...

Hello from camp, and ggs TV7

Hey everyone! I've been busy getting settled in to a new job and haven't had much time for TF2. I'm working for a camp catering company and they shipped me out to a natural gas facility in northern Alberta. For a few weeks at least I'll be doing 8:30 pm to 8:30 am cooking breakfast for the 250 peopl...

Re: Should I?

Yeah tons of teams on the UGC forums are always looking for players to add as substitutes. Most teams will advertise their scrim times and how often they want to play each week so you can browse through and find one that fits your schedule. If you can show up most of the time as a sub you're going t...
