I cant remember who all was listening with us or the channels we were all in. So anyways here's the demo's as promised.

Is this a HLTV demo, or first person?

I should have been more specific in my post. The demo's are from the North American Cyberathlete Professional League finals between 404 and Vindicate. Both clans are top 5 in North America with 404 holding the OGL title right now. It's some very exciting tfc and recomend everyone checking it out.

Vindicate is like triple-crown though, and this is their 3rd CPL championship in a row. Euros also attend, although I'm not sure if a Euro team was made. I noticed some top Euro players playing for 404.

For some reason, when I play this demo, I can't control the perspective or who I am spectating. It just randomly jumps around from player to player. I can't get the normal spectating functions for HLTV to work.

I've tried every key on the keyboard, including all of the function keys, to no avail. Anyone have a similar problem?

Any advice?

I'm not really sure, but you could try pulling down your console and typing "exec config.cfg" or a class config like "exec soldier.cfg" The control button should bring up the spectator options.

I have tried to use "playdemo" and "viewdemo" from the console. Both results the same.

I have tried "exec config.cfg", and some class configs.

I have tried the command menu during demo playback, but I am not given the option to select "spectate" when I try "change teams" it only gives me the option of "auto assign".

I downloaded geekplay and tried that. After getting through the frustration of trying to figure out geekplay I finally got he demo up and running and got the same thing.

I have other HLTV demos that play no problem.

Could there be a problem with compatability with versions of the hl.exe?

This is frustrating. I was really looking forward to watching this demo :/

Chen mentioned the "control button". Is this F2? Maybe if my control button got remapped somehow, I could type in a console command to bring up spectator options?
