ESPN Fantasy Football league anyone?
So getting to be that time again. I would love to be in a league where everyone actually pays attention and tries each week.
The random drafts tend to have 50% participation by mid season at best.
So anyone running a league or interested in playen? I prefer EPSN format but open to joining other leagues if someone has an opening.
Willing to pony up some cash if anyone running a pay out league also.

Re: ESPN Fantasy Football league anyone?
There's been a Ville-centered no-money ESPN league for at least the last couple years, and probably longer. Some of us were chatting last year about wanting to set up a live-draft league, after the random draft made absolutely idiotic decisions (I, for example, was given 7 players that were already injured at the time of the draft, and lost 6 to IR over the course of the season). I guess it's time we get serious about it if we're going to do that.
I can't claim to be an expert on anything FFL related, but it is good fun and I do enjoy it. I can look in to setting up a league when I get home from work - I'd be willing to do the commish thing if people want to play (unless you would prefer to, in which case go for it!).

I'm always looking for new ways to fail. I'm not huge into NFL either, but I may be willing to give it a go this year.

I was just about to post about this, having received some ESPN spam today. And yes, please make it a live draft this year.

Re: ESPN Fantasy Football league anyone?
Are you ready for some football? Me too! I've created a new ESPN league for us - Ville2013.
All rules are ESPN default, except that it is a live (manual) snake-draft. Each person will have 2 minutes to make each selection. Draft order will be determined randomly by the computer 1 hour prior to draft time. I haven't set the draft day yet - I figure we can talk about when a good day for us all is.
Send me a PM with your email address, and I'll send you invites to join. There are 10 slots - first come, first served!

I'd love to be in on this, but I don't think the vile mobile site supports PMs. Regardless, I strongly support the idea of having a live draft, A: it's fun, and B: you are more invested in your team.
Re: ESPN Fantasy Football league anyone?
Pm sent. Last year I abstained from fantasy football entirely but after a year off I think I can handle it again.

I'll save a spot for you - will try to catch you online with Steam later to get your email addy. I assume you anticipate having normal access again by mid-August. If you like, you can use the Steam interface to "leave a message" via that kind of PM - I think Steam mobile does support that. The Domer wrote:I'd love to be in on this, but I don't think the vile mobile site supports PMs. Regardless, I strongly support the idea of having a live draft, A: it's fun, and B: you are more invested in your team.
Two spots left!

Ok all, we've got a full league!
Zero, Keyes, and Otaru - your invitations should be in your mail boxes, or let me know if it didn't show up so I can resend
Domer, a spot is held for you. When you're all done getting married and such, hit me up and we'll get you in

Any ideas on draft date yet? I generally think by after the 2nd preseason game you have a good idea of who you would want.

Re: ESPN Fantasy Football league anyone?
Was going to put up a poll amongst the players once we have Domer in the fold, but that's about what I was planning to aim for. Last of the week 2 preseason games is on Monday, August 19th, so shooting for something that week.
How would folks feel about the evening of Friday the 23rd? If that doesn't work, Saturday the 24th?
Think it would be worthwhile for me to create a Steam group for us so we can chat about stuff, build an "event" for the draft, etc there, or just stick with the forums?
