Re: Super Smash Bros.: Wii U / 3DS
I managed to get hit by Little Mac's KO Punch at 0% with Shield Arts active on Shulk. It's actually quite funny how little distance I got.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

So i main diddy... and so far i've been gettin a lot of hate for it. I feel like diddy will be nerfed really hard in the future like meta knight and I am debating whether to start choosing a different character or not. In my heart i kind of don't want to but i know well that with the hate diddy has been getting along with many tournaments having diddy
matches and diddy mirrors, im going to have to switch sooner or later.

He's not going to get nerfed in the foreseeable future, Sakurai has stated that there are no further plans for balance patches, unless there are "glaring issues".InBOUND HD wrote:So i main diddy... and so far i've been gettin a lot of hate for it. Smash4 is still a young game. I doubt Diddy is as bad as Meta-Knight but he might hold the sigma for being the cheapest character if ways of beating him aren't found.

Pretty sure Diddy is like Fox in Melee or Mewtwo in Project M
That being said, I still only have the 3ds version :/ Tho just play what you want and ignore the hate.

Wasn't Marth the cheap one in Melee? My friends always complained when I picked him.

That's what people say, but I think the best player in the world mains Jigglypuff.Guardian wrote:Wasn't Marth the cheap one in Melee? My friends always complained when I picked him.

Yeah I enjoy watching Hungrybox the god of jigglypuff. I mean look at that fine looking gentleman.

Re: Super Smash Bros.: Wii U / 3DS
I believe Marth's reputation for being the cheap or best character was due to the "king of smash" Ken. Back when he was in his prime, he was the undisputed best player of melee getting first in the majority of tournaments he attended and even going to Japan to test his skills against them and finding he was just a bit better. While he's no longer the best player, his reign was so long in the early small days that he kept his title since nobody was undisputed in the same amount of time.
I learned it from this nice smash brothers documentary I found randomly which is really well done:

Falcon goes in for style points.....and misses. Hilarity ensues.

64% damage in a single hit. Not sure this Villager was aware of what even hit him.

Just got the wiiu version. Maybe I'll have time to play it eventually. Perhaps I should read back through this thread now...

If you have both the 3DS and Wii U versions of Smash Bros., tomorrow is the deadline to register both on Club Nintendo to receive a soundtrack CD and free download code for Mewtwo. If you don't have a Club Nintendo account yet, you should get one - it's free, and registering stuff gets you points toward free games and merch! Half of my current Virtual Console collection consists of freebies from there. Plus they sometimes do promos like this. I swear I was not paid to say this.
