So...
...I played for the first time last night. Tons of gun options once you can afford them. Generally what's the best gun to buy if you're just following everyone protecting their rear?

Re: So...
The AK or M4 is hard to beat for general purpose. The 249 SAW is probably my favorite weapon, and is an excellent sweeper. The AK is my second fave.
Protip: You need the newb tewb, nanners. The full auto 12 gauge.

This?
It's okay. I don't really play with it much. Meh.
I guess it depends on how you play. I like to assault/rush. If you like to hang back, maybe that is a good weapon.

I usually go for M4 with a P228 on CT for the M4's accuracy and the P228's fast firing rate and large clip.
On t I go for the AK-47 and a Deagle for the AK-47 's 1 shot-in-the-head kill. Same gos for the deagle.
As for my playing style It depends on the type off people playing

Re: So...
I'm pretty partial to the AUG (Bullpup) when I'm a CT and like the Galil on T. Although on either side I love the P90. Every once in a while I'll pack the noob cannon (XM1014 or M3) but I have mixed success with them. I don't mind the AK or M4A1, but it seems like that's what everybody uses.
M249 is...meh. It does a lot of damage, but it's got no accuracy, slows you down to a crawl, takes approximately 6 years to reload, and costs as much as a full loadout with a lesser gun, armor, and grenades.
I played so much Gun Game that I'm pretty proficient with all the weapons, but the Scout tends to give me some trouble, and of course, the UMP with it's rubber bullets.
I don't care much for the Dualies, I prefer the five-seven or P228. You can't go wrong with the Deagle, of course, but sometimes I don't like the slow firing and tiny clip.
I'm a flashbang whore.
...That's about it.
