Re: Day of Infamy
I got this on the Steam sale, and am enjoying it so far. It's like a more realistic DoD.
For anyone interested, it's 40% off until the 5th.

How's the server control/admin functionality on that? We had lots of success with Day of Defeat - that could be a cool update to the game

You can buy the New World Collection BUNDLE which also includes their game Insurgency for only $0.14 more.

And if you already have Insurgency, you click to buy the bundle, it will automatically remove Insurgency from it but still give you the bundle discount, and the single game will be 46% off instead of 40% First time I've seen it work that way!Flash wrote:You can buy the New World Collection BUNDLE which also includes their game Insurgency for only $0.14 more.

Re: Day of Infamy
I switched the server to coop mode, which might work better for a small number of players. Thanks to the people who came on to test the server!

Are there no crosshairs/sights for weapons? I didn't seem to have any.
It put me in the German army so I went pyro and tried to burn my bot-teammates.

There are no crosshairs, so you have to use the iron sights or scope on your weapons. There's also no health bars or loaded ammo counts.Inner wrote:Are there no crosshairs/sights for weapons? I didn't seem to have any.
I turned off friendly fire on the server at least while we have a lot of new players.

Re: Day of Infamy
A bit late with a report back, but I connected and ran around on the first night test we had a couple days ago. It could definitely be something we have fun with, if we get some people together.
It definitely is more realistic - no kill feed, no crosshair, no ammo count, and a number of weapons with one or two shot kills (the battle rifles, sniper rifle, shotgun, and grenades that I used or experienced all could one shot pretty easily). Honestly, I like that. I haven't yet tried it out on a full server with loads of people, but it feels like there is potential here.
