I bought Skyrim today (finally :P), which marks the beginning and probable end of my summer sale expenditures. I like to buy a game or two in the sales, but usually I'm pretty good at keeping a tight grip on my bank account. Usually.

Also, I have an extra card #10. Seeking any card other than 2, 5, and 10. I'd really like to get 7 because it would potentially solve a stupid trading-related glitch Steam is having for me. Long story about why it's card #7 in particular, but it is.

I've been doing this as well in fact... I've been liquidizing a lot of my steam inventory.

I did however craft an anti-chamber badge today since my team was going to win for sure and the 2 extra steam cards were worth more then the cards I needed to craft the badge and getting a shot at 3 free games isn't bad.

Remember what I said about not really being interested in the Steam sale? Well, I decided to take advantage of it and get Borderlands 2 again for PC. The idea of playing that game with people I know on Steam is just too good to pass up, and I only got two people in my friends list on PSN, and neither of them have BL2. :(

Also, BL2: Game of the Year Edition is currently 75% off for those of you that haven't gotten it yet.

Is there a limit to how many of the summer sale badges you can craft? Or do they just keep going? Has anyone even seen a foil card yet?

I picked up 7 Days to Die a couple days ago when it was on sale, and have been playing it quite a bit. I really enjoy it! It may be just an early access/alpha, but it's pretty excellent. Basically DayZ blended with Minecraft in a surprisingly effective manner. Much more challenging than Minecraft, much scarier feeling than DayZ.

The whole "apocalyptic survival first person crafting" thing has somehow become a genre with a dozen or so entries recently, but this really seems like it could be the genuine article. It's much more straightforward than Rust, and a lot more polished than any of the other attempts at this I've seen of late.

Anybody else pick it up? Multiplayer is still being improved, but there is a functioning version that they suggest for up to 8 players. Could be fun!

So far I have only purchased the Battleblock Theatre / Castle Crashers combo pack (90% off!). Battleblock Theatre is really fun.

Looks like they've changed the rules about the competition.

The highest-scoring team at the end of the day still has the same prize, but now the second and third-place teams also get prizes.

2nd place nets 20 members 2 games from their wishlist
3rd place nets 10 members 1 game from their wishlist

And seeing how the teams are more even than they were the past few days, I think it's safe to say that Valve cracked down on Reddit's shenanigans while simultaneously realizing how dumb the "all-or-nothing" style the contest was. Likewise, it seems everyone who earned points now gets at least one Summer Trading Card at the end of the day, regardless of what team they were on.

Is anyone else having trouble sending trade requests? I'm trying to make some trading-card offers to people, but I keep getting errors which unhelpfully don't give any description of the actual error.
