I think BF4 is looking really good. I'm really excited for this.

Re: Battlefield 4
I got Warfighter back in the day unfortunately so i will have beta access from that. I will at least give it a try but likely wont play unless a group of villuns decides to jump in.

edit.
lol, it seems I already replied with the same answer a couple months ago. I'm not bitter, BF3 was such a disappointment for me I just can't bring myself to pre-order goddamn anything anymore.

I've let EA screw me over so many times. I will not let them do it again. Star-wars Battlefront 3 is going to be a reskinned Battlefield. Battlefield 4 is getting closer and closer to CoD.

I'm not interested in the Battlefield series, but I hope EA doesn't ruin my SW Battlefront. I played the crap out of SWBF2 on my PS2....

Re: Battlefield 4
I don't see how BF4 is getting closer to COD. In what Call of Duty game do you drive vehicles or knock down skyscrapers in multiplayer. What Call of Duty game has good gun sounds and models. What Call of Duty game has guns that don't feel like toys. And in what Call of Duty game can 64 people play in the same game and not be unplayable. I think that EA gets too much hate. I agree that they have done some stuff that isn't well received but you have to remember that EA doesn't make the games, the developers do. I honestly don't care who is putting up the money to sell the game to consumers. All I care about is a quality game. I really enjoy BF3. Its one of my favorite multiplayer games (single player was meh). I think that BF4 is going to be much better than BF3 and I am excited.

How many times will Activision and EA repeat this genre? 1, 2, 3, 4, 4+, 5, 4+2, etc. Same game, better graphics. Toss in a sweet, new pre-order bonus to show off to other players! Still, the graphics do look nice.

How is that different than all the pacman games, for example, that have been made? Its the same game but that doesn't mean its bad.Siegfried wrote:How many times will Activision and EA repeat this genre? 1, 2, 3, 4, 4+, 5, 4+2, etc. Same game, better graphics. We had a Commander in BF2, we had in game squad voice communication in BF2, to this day I cannot believe either one of those things was missing from BF3.

There is squad chat in BF3. At least on console. Not sure about PC because I've never heard anyone use it.bluntspoon wrote:We had a Commander in BF2, we had in game squad voice communication in BF2, to this day I cannot believe either one of those things was missing from BF3.

There is a chat program that runs in the background that you have to get everyone in your squad to join through battle log. Or something like that.Uber! wrote:There is squad chat in BF3. Yeah, BF3 was a disappointment. That's coming from a guy who played the crap out of it. If BF4 doesn't have a commander or integrated voice comms IN THE GAME (granted, I will probably turn them completely off while playing with randoms and only keep them on when talking to villuns, cause seriously, who wants to listen to that dribble) I will not be picking it up.

Re: Battlefield 4
I did have hopes of Battlefront 3 but share the same resentment towards EA. No doubt it will require Origin given its trend, which I have so far stayed away apart from trying out BF3 (meh). Unfortunately to these companies, at the end of the day it's all about the dollar.BigBiker05 wrote:I've let EA screw me over so many times. I will not let them do it again. How I miss the original Battlefield series.
