Andriod games
I'm heading out for work trip this week and I've decided to bring my Nexus to read/surf/play.
Thing is, I don't really know any games for Android - any suggestions on worthwhile ones?

Re: Andriod games
In the free department:
There's always Angry Birds if you're into skill games, though if you don't pay the two dollars, expect to have to deal with ads every other level. Classic and Star Wars are the best of them I hear.
Another good free game is Super Stickman Golf, which is essentially a 2D golf game and it's pretty fun.
Zen Pinball 3D has a pretty good free table, other tables cost money but the one it comes with works. I believe it has a fairly high system requirement though.
If you have the roms, there's a good selection of functional emulators for classic consoles. I forget the name and don't have my tablet with me to check, but I have a good SNES emulator based on SNES9X (I think it's called GNES9X or something along those lines). If your tablet is USB compatible, it might be able to read a controller, which the emulator I have is compatible with USB controllers. I've also seen emulators available for NES, Genesis, N64, and Gameboy Advance floating around.
Be aware that most free aps are plastered with ads; I usually don't do tablet games for that reason.
If you're willing to pay:
SquareEnix has released and rereleased a number of their older RPGs on Android tablets. Last time I checked, they had Final Fantasy 1 through 4 and Chrono Trigger (the DS remakes), as well as a tower defense game based on Tactics Advance A2. They also have Dimensions which is an entirely new Final Fantasy in the style of the older titles.
Sega has also released a number of their good games on tablet. You can pick up Sonic 4 (both episodes), Sonic CD, Chu Chu Rocket, and Super Monkey Ball. There's also Sonic Jump which was made specifically for tablets.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Yeah, I've been avoiding free apps because of the ads thing, but I'm not really sure where to go for good information on paid ones.
I have a Nexus 7, so I should be fine on almost any requirements, so I'll check out some of those, thanks, Zork!

Re: Andriod games
A lot of the popular free aps have two-dollar "premium" versions that don't have ads. Angry Birds and Temple Run are among the most popular I think, but many other games are also available.
Forgot to mention, there's also an Android version of Minecraft if you play that. Nowhere near as expansive as the standard version, but it works very well considering.

Re: Andriod games
I also have a nexus 7
Anyway, 4 pictures one word is a pretty fun game but it had ads....
Bubble world is one of my favorites.
Helicopter (google play has a version of that old computer game)
And best of all, you must try the Flow games. Those are worth buying full versions.
I hope you try these games

Re: Andriod games
Super Hexagon, ftw. It's the only game I have on my phone, but then again I so very rarely play games. Good for really quick bursts of gaming.
I am the 1%!

Re: Andriod games
I got Super Hexagon on Steam and I find it super hard to play with a keyboard, I can imagine it's a lot better with a touchscreen, though.

Don't Look Back is in the google play store (free). It was pretty fun and wasn't super easy.
