I know I'm preaching my own interests here but hey
If anyone is bored or wants plans for a day I think you should really check this out if there is a theater close that is participating, I'm sure you might actually find it amazing and enjoyable if you like music at all.
The boys at ScrewAttack held one of their Death Battles between G1 StarScream of Transformers vs G4 Rainbow Dash of MLP. When they went through the research and simulated a battle based on said research, Rainbow won pretty handily. Said Death Battle took place about 8 months ago. So now one of their hosts went to BotCon in Dallas (according to him, it's the Transformers convention) to ask around this same question. It's pretty funny how this turned out.
This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness. In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Amazing how much damage a bit of bad code can do to a SNES game.
This was performed on the US 1.0 version, US 1.1 and all other regions don't have the bug. It can be performed on US 1.1 by using a Game Genie code to "switch off" the hot fix.
I've nerded out about this particular bug, researched it, watched it, the only thing I haven't done is perform it myself. It's quite possibly one of the most damaging bugs i've ever heard about in a video game as the effects are immense, ranging from palette errors, bad sprites, freezes, crashes, inventory rewriting, and in extreme cases, rom corruption and save erasure. The bug is so powerful that it's capable of crashing the ZSNES emulator and can often carry over glitches when loading save states in SNES9X. It's caused by bad coding, Sketch's effect looks to the wrong location when it misses, specifically it's looking at the aiming byte of whatever spell is in the 28th slot of the character in the first position of the party. Mute is generally the culprit and it rolls to see if Mute would hit, if that misses too then basically Sketch is pulling garbage data from somewhere it shouldn't be close to.
Somehow I need to get down to Disneyland again; California Adventure has gone from a mediocre better-than-an-amusement-park-but-not-quite-a-Disney-park to something worthy of the Disney name with all of its new additions. The new Radiator Springs Racers attraction in the "Cars Land" area, which combines the tech behind Walt Disney World's Test Track with the theming of Disney-Pixar's Cars, looks absolutely amazing.
The last time I was down there, DCA was just beginning its full-body makeover. Can't wait to see all that's new, if/when I can get down there again...
