During my paragon play through I remembered halfway through that I never replayed the ending and I had Legion, Tali, and Miranda dead. I was about half way through and did not want to restart so I just ran with that. To my later knowledge Miranda and Tali were both alive, my previous save did not even change anything.

Legion was a VI so I guess that changed.

That shouldn't have happened. You sure about your save? I've talked to people who had Tali dead in ME2 and she wasn't in ME3. For me Thane was dead in ME2 and wans't in ME3 at all.

I went back to my ME2 save and they were dead, I guess my game ignored that or I got some weird glitch or something.

Heads up about the ending.

End-game spoilers below.
VIEW CONTENT:
It is becoming more and more likely that the theories are true and the ending really was fake (from the point where the laser hit you and you passed out). This is the point where the game got really crappy in many people's eyes. Many inconsistencies have been noted from this point on. Not only does bioware refuse to comment directly about the ending, but the ending has spiritual references (kill good, sacrifice yourself, heavenly elevators), items that look very similar to items before you got knocked out, and the n7 ending showing shepard to be alive contradicts the entire end-game cinematic. Also, the biggest is how your squad magically teleported half-way across the universe.

Worst ending ever.

Just absolute garbage. Returning my game to amazon.

No longer trust Bioware to do games right. So frustrating to have 3 games, and 150 hours or something of gameplay made pointless by the most horrible hack writing I've seen in a game (that was supposed to be based around a strong story)

That bad of a ending huh? Did the journey make it at least somewhat worth it?

Put it to you this way. Every single decision you make is made pointless by how it ends.

Seriously, saved the council, put Anderson in as the human adviser and killed the Rachni? Doesn't matter. No decision you make has any bearing on how the game ends. And the explanation behind the Reapers is dumber than the whole midicholrians (or whatever they were) in Star Wars.

To make it even dumber, the game ends ultra abruptly, you have no idea what happens to anyone in your squad, but don't worry, they're going to sell epilogue DLC.

Yes. While your choices don't shape the final decision of the game,
everything before the finale is shaped by your decisions in ME1 and ME2.

Actually, not really.
VIEW CONTENT:
Let he council die? A new one appears and does EVERY thing in the story the council would have if you let them live.

Save the rachni? Reapers steal them. Kill the rachni? Reapers clone them.

Make Anderson the Counselor? He stops being one and Udina takes over, not changing the story at any point.

Well, in the first game you can decline recruiting some squad members, then you have Virmire where Wrex can die, along with Ashley or Kaiden.
In ME2 you have the whole Suicide Mission in which any of your squad mates die. I had Legion die during mine and made the whole Quarien storyline really depressing for me.

I guess I'm just focusing on squad mate decisions while you're focusing on more plot related elements.

Which is frustrating for me because the whole time they were talking about how your actions mattered within the story, but, they didn't.

Yes those all boil down to you see random squad mate who didn't die for a couple cut scenes each. You can have Tali or Garrus in your squad. Yeah, my choices REALLY affected the game didn't they?

There is no impact on how the story plays out no matter what you do leading up to the end. Nothing. Any impact you can have on the ending happens in the third game only. End even then, the only change in the ending is the freaking color of an explosion.
