i grew frustrated and ensaddened when the nether was rolled back...i put at least 2 full stacks of iron and uncountable cobble...so ill welcome a resetbesides...we all knew it would happen...i just wish endermen would go away...

What happened to the Nether, now?

Also, Notch has stated that Endermen picking up blocks was "a horrible idea" and will have that ability removed.

Dang that was quick after 1.8. Guess they're really getting on it since this is supposed to be "the second half of 1.8," after all. Glad to see they are. :)

There a list of changes for 1.9, but there's no knowing how much is actually in the pre-release just yet without actually trying it ... which I intend to (with 1.8 backups on hand of course).

it was rolled back to fix the lagging i assume...as the fortress i built there and the piston gate on the path to lazy town are gone...but this is great news about notch not liking endermen!

Sadly, there's enough that you *could* justify a reset, but I don't think it makes sense to until 1.10. That said, anyone looking at megaprojects may want to reconsider at this point in time...

If there are people interested, I am running the prereleases on a personal server. If there are people out there into adventuring and trying out the newest thing possible, let me know and I can get you on the whitelist and give you the info.

i say that plenty of justification. most of us already know not to start mega projects as 1.9 with all the added content was coming rather quickly. luckily the players who did start mega's havent gotten too far with them yet. This was the adventure update meaning lots of map discovered already and very little mega projects started. the only huge one i know of is bettehs mob spawner and thats not done. Im sure on the next server if he chooses to build another we can pitch in our minecraft downtime to help him.




*edit* while looking at the changelog and the .jar
endermen WILL still pick up and move blocks they just were nerfed. they only move some types of blocks.

no more cobble or smooth stone so walls are much easier to build now...
unfortunately they can still move dirt and sand... 2 things dont want them to move.
I cannot find anything on how often they move these items (1 block a night, 2 blocks, 10?) but there are people who are claiming that was nerfed as well and a pack of endermen will only move 1 block a night (hope thats true)

1. Don't make anything out of dirt.
I don't know anyone who does.

2. Turn your sand into sandstone.

I'm ok with a reset for 1.9, too many awesome stuff not to. Full release is mid November at minecon but I didn't see a lot of things for that release other than making it official.

I enjoyed playing on the new server and building a few cool things with TTHREAZ, I may not build as many things for 1.9 if we reset for full release.
