Re: TV5
Not much need for a reset, TV5 is largely untouched, just explore a little and you'll generate new land.
Endermen are going to make a lot of builders very angry, they are basically griefers. Within the span of 5 minutes, Enderman randomly removed pieces of buildings around me. They remove pieces of trees, buildings, anything they can get their hands on. This is whether or not they see you.

If they touched my bridge, I don't care how long it takes, I'm going to go Inigo Montoya on their butts.

Re: TV5
It seems the one weakness of Endermen is water - they appear to take damage from it. I know I'm going to be building 3+ deep water moats around pretty much everything from now on, unless and until I hear otherwise.

Re: TV5
Perhaps, but the new terrain wasn't what was going to draw me back to the server. It was going to be the community effort to rebuild spawn. Now, not so interested.KRG wrote:Not much need for a reset, TV5 is largely untouched, just explore a little and you'll generate new land.![]()

Sorry to hear frost, hope you come visit us!
Wiki says Endermen are rare but so far, they seem as common as creepers.
This morning, I had 2 spawn within 20 blocks of me at the same time and beyond 60 blocks, a few of them spawned removing pieces of my outter wall. I'd say at one point, I was surrounded by as many as 5-6 Endermen at once. Not what I would call "rare".

Thanks Dog!
We're going to need to do some repair work in town. It appears that every single chest in the game has been turned sideways. Opening and closing them fixes any lighting issues, but I think we're gonna have to tear them down and re-place to fix the positions.

We could still use your help finishing the rail system you started!frostdillicus wrote:Perhaps, but the new terrain wasn't what was going to draw me back to the server. It was going to be the community effort to rebuild spawn. Now, not so interested.
Re: TV5
Ugh, I noticed that too Flash. And we have a crap ton of chests. I don't even want to look at cobble storage.
While it turns them sideways visually, it still considers them straight. . .you can't place blocks next to where the chests were originally set. Tis a pain and yeah each one will have to be manually corrected.

Re: TV5
I'm already working on the farmer's market. I'm re-organizing to make room for the new foods and since old food is now stackable. Cooking pork is soooo easy now!
I will need some help building a melon farm next to the wheat farm, I have no idea what the optimal arrangement of melon farm land will be.

Re: TV5
For frost and others wanting to seek out the new stuffs;
Since TV5 is so scarcely populated, we opted to keep everything in it's current state and create a few nether jump gates to new, distant areas. I am currently creating that structure though it's very slow going. Once this is complete, we can then travel far distances and create new towns in all directions. Orginal spawn will remain the same and still serve as a jumping off point for newcomers.
I will work on getting the nether gates up and focus on the structure after the fact, to speed things up. So if you are interested in creating a new welcome center or town, we could use one in each direction! TV5 North, TV5 South etc. . .

I'll be your huckleberry. I might have an automated farm idea for it as well.Flash wrote:I'm already working on the farmer's market. I'm re-organizing to make room for the new foods and since old food is now stackable. Cooking pork is soooo easy now!
