Re: SPACE MARINE
40k has awesome lore.
The books are great, the world is interesting, but I have yet to find any 40k themed games that are as good as Dawn of War1 and Battlefleet Gothic. One is old the other discontinued.

I thought he's not even a corpse, just a preserved brain inside a giant machine on a throne?Clay Pigeon wrote:You'll be a corpse on a throne?
But then, I haven't read any of the 40k rulebooks in a loooong time.

I thought it was his nearly dead body kept in permanent stasis upon a golden throne that was both mankind's nav signal for FTL travel and the only thing keeping the horrors of the warp from invading Earth through the giant warp portal underneath.Plinko wrote:I thought he's not even a corpse, just a preserved brain inside a giant machine on a throne?Clay Pigeon wrote:You'll be a corpse on a throne?

His soul is like the amplifier for the beacon that enables the astropaths/navigators to make sense of the Warp so that they can navigate others through it.One_Medic_Army wrote:I thought it was his nearly dead body kept in permanent stasis upon a golden throne that was both mankind's nav signal for FTL travel and the only thing keeping the horrors of the warp from invading Earth through the giant warp portal underneath.Plinko wrote:I thought he's not even a corpse, just a preserved brain inside a giant machine on a throne?Clay Pigeon wrote:You'll be a corpse on a throne?

Re: SPACE MARINE
there is nothing wrong with clays statement however...chaos marines refer to him as the corpse emperor
here is the most recent artwork from the newest rulebook that came out...2 years ago? 2.5?
Also there are failings in the thrones mechanisms that are unable to be repaired that were discovered "this" half of the millennium (M41)

Re: SPACE MARINE
So I have to say that I really enjoy the multiplayer. It is more rock paper scissors than tf2, and different maps lend themselves to different loadouts

I just rented it on Xbox, but my live membership has probably expired, so no Multi for me =(
Unless I can get my wife to play...which is a long shot, lol.

It's a long hard road coming to recover from World of Warcrack, but I hope you'll help me bare the load while I travel that road.

Thousand sons isn't an available warband preset. But if you're like me and like the legion that didn't choose chaos until after Horus's defeat, here is what you have to do in the customizer (unlocks at level 4).
Primary color: Thousand Sons blue
Secondary color: Burnished gold
pattern: OFF
Shoulder pad: Thousand Sons (on page 2 of the chaos shoulder pad insignia)
