Totally. Now, if they were to post a recipe for crafting keys, I'd be down. ATM, however, the crates are just wasted space in my inventory. Although the one I opened with my Holiday Key did yield the Lime paint, so I was happy for that.Marf wrote:I'm not going to buy any keys. So my chances of ever getting an unusual hat are very low.
I'm not the gambling type, and I really don't see a good enough return on average from opening a crate. Not even from a series 9, because paint is not worth $2.50 to me.

I feel that cartoon....it's deep. These crates bring up heavy emotional issues of rage and contempt
Moving on, I have 18(maybe more now) crates of all tiers ready to trade for....anything! woo!

It is entirely true, Valve has 125 bucks of mine for 50 crates full of junk. I've unboxed every crate i've found since Mann-conomy, and I have yet to recieve anything of real value considering the amount of keys i've bought, and I know i've opened over 200 of these suckers.Earthworm James wrote:I feel that cartoon....it's deep. This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

I recieved the now-traded-away Haunted Fro. Getting to it cost me at least $100. I feel the burning.

Re: Mann Co. Supply Crates
I feel like there should be a way to increase the % chance of getting an unusual for the lunatics, nice and lovely people that open lots of crates.
So that for every crate an account has opened after 50 or 75 or 100 without an unusual opening, the percentage chance of getting an unusual goes up until they get one. Hell, they may get even more people to open the dang things.
"Just one more, it's my 55th, I have even a better chance now"
Of course there will always be one unlucky bastard (Zork), who keeps opening crates (Zork), and never gets anything. (Zork)

I have a bunch of crates available for some one
Re: Mann Co. Supply Crates
considering that two of those crates were series 9, I'd say you did decently.Flaming Cheese Wheel wrote:Time to open some crates. shudder

That's the best part about having Series Nines, you'll almost certainly get something that someone will find useful.Katotsu wrote:considering that two of those crates were series 9, I'd say you did decently.Flaming Cheese Wheel wrote:Time to open some crates. shudder
Seeing as I have significantly more paint than I can actually use now...

I've decided to try collecting the whole series of paint if you would like to unload some for metal or whatever, I think have a hat or two I don't use.
I still need: Slate, Grey, Tinge, Gold, Olive, Indubitably Green, Violet, Radigan Brown, Lime, Business Pants, and TeamSpirit.
