Does Anybody Want to Play Arena on TheVille?
Re: Does Anybody Want to Play Arena on TheVille?
While I am not a big fan of Arena, I would play it with Villuns as well as try to fill it when needed. Seeing some of the newer maps on arena would be sweet. I just hope the games have low times like ~15 minutes.

I think the beauty of TF2 is how well they have the classes and gameplay balanced such that you can respawn fairly frequently without having constant stalemates. Obviously, there are a lot of stalemates but the tools are in place to where you can deal with anything with the proper teamwork.
For me, arena gameplay just doesn
t capture that.

Arena is a very fun game mode. I haven't played it in a long long while, mostly because my friends play on various ville servers, and I like to join them, leaving very little time to play arena.
However, today I was able to convince gruel to join me on an arena server, and I know I had a lot of fun playing it.
It's a different style of play, you get to play short maps, and fast rounds but the beauty is now you have to value your life, and the lives of people around you much more than regular TF2.
If you let your medic die, you've done a very bad thing for your team (something people need to learn in regular tf2 as well
)
I donno, it's basically permanent sudden death, and I have always enjoyed sudden death (wish it was enabled on all the ville servers, I hate spending 30 mins on a map, and having a score of 0-0)

There has been the idea of a suggested Monthly Arena Night. Could this be made a reality? I enjoy Arena every once in a while. but not enough for a full Arena Server.
Friends made are never forgotten. Even if we grow apart or move on from this life, the fun times we spent together was all worth it.
