Addon Questions

I recently bought Garry's Mod and have been playing with the basics in singleplayer. I just downloaded the Ville's custom files pack and that got me thinking about other addons.

So, I looked some up at GarrysMod.org and there are a ton of them. As I look through them, I see that some mention incompatibility with previous versions of Garry's Mod, as well as several different versions of the same addon. I also saw addons with different names that claim to do the same thing.

My questions are: 1. What are your favorite addons? 2. Where do you get them? 3. Are some older versions of the same addon better, or is the most current always the way to go? 4. How can I know if an addon is compatible with my version of Garry's Mod (and how do I find my version for that matter)?

The current version of Gmod is 11, so make sure it works with that (also known as orangebox). Garrysmod.org is the place to go for Gmod addons, and the latest version of any addon is usually the best choice. Keep in mind that anyone can upload addons, so sometimes there are multiple addons that do the same thing or similar thing. Just try it out to see if it does what you want.
