Hey! Windows 10 doesn't suck!
So I was part of the pre-release shenanigans and when I tried it on a vanilla i5 dell I thought it felt like Windows 8.1 with a facelift but in reality the OS outperforms 8.1 it is very good. I get about the same game performace as I did on Windows 7 which is awesome.
Things that got me excited:
Virtual Desktops
I've been using a feature like this in linux for, like, a decade and it's awesome that it's finally implemented here. Hooray!
EDIT: Here's a video I quickly made using virtual desktops:
KEYS:
CTRL+WIN+D: Create a New Desktop
CTRL+WIN+LEFT / CTRL+WIN+RIGHT: Swap Desktops Left/Right
WIN+TAB : Open window management.
Adaptive Vertical Sync windowed mode gaming!
If you have your drivers set to "let application decide" and are running the full desktop compositor windowed games will not tear vertically. Huge bonus if you're a streamer. NOTE: It does introduce input lag like any other sync method does, though, so you may have to disable compositor or force disable sync in driver settings if you hate it but with a 144hz monitor I loved it.
It doesn't crash like a hulking pile of %&!^!
Unlike Win8 release it works. No kernel crashes so far.
So if you were wondering "should I" if you have a gaming rig similar to mine the answer is yes, yes, yes.

! Yes ! Thank you all of the applications most people use now do very similar things but the privacy issue is a huge one here's a combo to disable
It's not difficult to disable tracking for the average power user. Outside of that, excellent.

Re: Windows 10 is Good!(?)
Recently I built my daughter a new computer, it's not anything fancy and it's still running Windows 7.
My computer which is fairly beefy and running Windows 10 works really well. No complaints. Almost. The one thing I noticed is that my daughter's computer is just slightly faster at loading L4D2 maps than mine. It's possible that the OS is not to blame for this but I'm fairly sure even tho my PC is 3-4 years old now it's should still be beefier than what I made for the daughter.
Once I turned off all the ads and data gathering, I'm really fond of Win10.
