pl_downhill_b1 - http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=9896

ctf_orient_b1 - http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/download/95668

cp_gullywash - http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/s ... p?t=961897 (Already tried it apparently)

ctf_deliverance - http://forums.tf2maps.net/showthread.php?t=11664 (Invasion CTF)

Few to look at. Should look at tweaking the rotation altogether most likely.

I downloaded and had a run through this map, and I kinda liked the look and feel of it...

cp_blazewalk_rc4 - http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/131687

It's yet another 5CP map. When I first loaded up the map, my first impression was like "Oh god, the point is literally RIGHT OUTSIDE THE SPAWN DOORS." There's a window there, too, that let's any enemies standing on the point see right into the spawn and know who's coming to stop them. But it could possibly be a non-issue. Final points in CP maps cap so fast it probably doesn't matter.

Or who knows...I just kinda liked the look of the map...I'd like to see it in action sometime...But also! I'm pretty terrible when it comes to finding GOOD maps to suggest. Everyone always hate the new maps I suggest.

Also, since we're looking for news maps, I think we should maybe try bringing back some older maps for a while. Ones like CP_Raiden, PL_Mill, and CTF_Chaos spring to mind, but not necessarily those ones in particular. I think it would be good to give some oldies a second try.

A suggestion here, possibly endorsed by Crimson and stujitsu:

Old map: cp_meleebarn. The built-in weapon-stripping code was broken by the Pyro update (crashing the map), but I got around that by EntEd-ing out the weapon code and using Weapon Blocker for SourceMod.[1] (And being a purist I blocked all projectile weapons including Jarate and the Sandman.)

My group had a number of good games in it, I recorded a video that got pulled from YouTube because of all the music I used, and now any of the XIRPers you ask will say that I'm a freak for liking the map so much.

Here, there seems to be a greater appreciation for melee fighting... I wouldn't mind having it as an option to break the mood once in a while (not in the rotation, but something for votemaps, like Balloon Race or Pac-Man).

[1] The links are for the original map. I can provide the version that I edited to prevent the crashes.

Yeah melee barn and lolcano were totally fun. It would be realy cool if we could call those up for shenanigans on ville 2.

I LOVE Gullywash, I would be ecstatic if it was added to one of the servers (even though I can't play TV7)

What does everyone else think about that map? I may be a little biased since I'm a huge fan of 5CP maps. The only time I ever leave the Ville is to play on Gullywash or other 5CP maps that aren't that popular around here (Granary, Badlands, Gravelpit, Yukon etc.).

Gullywash seems pretty popular externally. My personal opinion of it is that it's not especially distinctive in the whole Obscure/Blazewalk/other 5CP category though, aside from its final point, which is interesting.

Noting again if we could try to get at least Meleebarn onto TV2 as a voteable map. There seems to be some conflict about doing shenanigans while seeding, and there's no choice but shenanigans on that map.

Some maps I'd like to see tried out when they reach beta stage:

PL_Corrode by Leminnes - A 4-point Payload map taking place in a malfunctioning nuclear power plant. BLU's goal is to drop the payload into a pool of radioactive sludge.

PL_MorriganAlley by Treythepunkkid - A Medieval Payload map, featuring a unique cart model, and an iron maiden that looms behind the only full health pack on the map, threatening to kill anyone who gets too close.

PL_Repository by Acegikmo - Another 4-point Payload with the Gravel Pit theme. Technically, this is an old one, and is in Release Candidate. I believe we tried this map before, but I'd like to see it played again.

CP_Petrol by Icarus - A 4-point Attack/Defend Control Point map by the guy who made Observatory, Waste, and also Coldfront. Trains are involved.

PLR_Chill by Tech and Om Nom Nick - A 3-stage Payload Race map in a snowy alpine area. Cause we need more PLR maps now that Panic is off the rotation.

Is Petrol set up like Desertfortress or is it a 4 point one-way A/D where BLU caps through 4 sequential points?
