Best Buy TV + Xbox One deal
Best Buy has a pretty amazing deal this week - a 40" Samsung TV ($430) and a 500GB Xbox One ($350) together for $500. I ended up snagging this in order to have a TV for my (eventual) apartment, plus the recently-released Rare Replay provides an actual reason to want an XBone (the original N64 version of Conker's Bad Fur Day? Yes please!).
Just a heads-up for anyone going tech shopping who hasn't seen this yet. At the very least, you could get it for the TV and sell the console.

Is it just me or is the idea that a 40" tv is now $430 sound crazy? I can recall when that was $2000! (and it doesn't seem THAT long ago)

I'm guessing it's a SmartTV, otherwise it would be less than $250. That's about what I paid for my 39".YoullNeverWalkAlone wrote:Is it just me or is the idea that a 40" tv is now $430 sound crazy? I can recall when that was $2000! (and it doesn't seem THAT long ago)

Sorry Ohnoes, did I forget the "get off my porch"? Usually I use the "kids these days" in class.
Back in my day we had a 20" box that was grainy and with a clicker to change the channel. When we wanted to go between the 3 of them. And we were happy with the range of choices.
Better?

Agreed, and I would hesitate to use a Smart TV even if it was free. I hate those things. TV prices have dropped through the floor of late, and it's great (though if you still insist on blowing money unnecessarily, you can always buy a 98" 4k screen for $39,000).NerevarineKing wrote:I'm guessing it's a SmartTV, otherwise it would be less than $250. I love my smart TV.No more having to hook up a laptop or syncing a tablet with it to watch videos or Netflix. But I refuse to use it to "surf " the net.Boss Llama wrote: Agreed, and I would hesitate to use a Smart TV even if it was free. I hate those things.
