We got the old domain name back? That's awesome! When and how did this happen?

There was some persuasion, and consequently Dog buried a few people in the Canadian tundra.

The certain entity that bought it in the first place had their project fail.

For those who don't follow Zynga, they are losing money fast. They cut 80% of their projects, one including "The Ville', which is why they bought the domain in the first place. They are getting rid of employees, their stocks are worth 1/8th of what they were a year ago, and their profits are 1/20th. Their investors are pulling out.

There may be issues as we migrate back to theville, so let me know fo stuff that doesn't quite work as expected.

If you find that your forums no longer stay logged in, try deleting cookies for theville and thevilluns.
You can also try deleting the browser cache to see if that helps.

I hope Dog at least got something in the end for his trouble and I'm not just saying that because the the ville holding onto a small piece of the falling Zynga's money is an amusing image.

I use chrome and I couldn't access the site until I deleted my cookies. It kept sending me into a redirect loop.

They paid us for the domain originally. And since their efforts failed, we have reclaimed it.
